Review: Kitchen Craft Egg Moulds
1. Hard boil your eggs. Yes, it may sound simple but books have been dedicated to the art and science of egg boiling. Delia Smith suggests using eggs that are at least 5 days old so that they are easier to peel. She then suggests putting them in a saucepan and covering with cold water (only by approximately 1/2 inch); bringing them to a simmer and then timing for 7 minutes before running them under cold water to cool.
2. Peel your eggs and pop them into the moulds.
TIP: Don’t leave your eggs to rest – pop them into the mould as soon as you possibly can for the best results.
3. Pop the moulds into cold water for 15 minutes to set.
4. Turn your eggs out of the moulds and slice up for a salad or eat whole.
A great way to get kids eating their fair share of eggs and you may just find that a heart-shaped egg tastes better.
