Our eighth birthday bash

It turns out that being part of Yuppiechef’s eighth birthday shenanigans, feels very much like celebrating a joint birthday with class mates in Grade 2. There’s a lot of cake, even more excitement, some big dreams and a great big birthday bash. This year’s party saw us donning feather boas, fancy flapper dresses and trilbies for a bit of a roaring twenties knees-up.

As our team grows, it’s becoming more of a challenge each year to find a venue fit and fun enough to accommodate all the Yuppiechef staff and partners but for a bit of grand Gatsby fun, BB’Ques at Groot Constantia was a find indeed.

Large banquet tables under chandeliers and a roaring fire provided the ideal venue for everyone to let their hair down. We took some time to think about our journey so far, chatted about how time flies and took in a room full of colleagues who feel a whole lot more like friends.

After some toasting, happy birthday sing songs and photo booth laughter, we pretty much danced the night out to the surprise dj’ing of one of our very own.

Do you remember who you ate cake with when you were eight? We hope we will.
