Fresh and zesty: apple zinger juice
The award-winning Oscar Juicer has broken ground with its enzyme extraction capabilities and is favoured the world over as a winner for nutritious doses of liquidated fruit and veg. Operating at an almost noiseless 80 rpm, kitchen conversations don’t have to come to a grinding halt because someone desires freshly pressed juice and that can only be a good thing.
We made this juice in the Yuppiechef Test Kitchen and one thing is for sure, it will give you a kick in the morning.
Ingredients:
3 whole apples (Granny Smiths for extra tang)
1 lemon, peeled
1cm cube of fresh ginger
A few inches of cucumber
Mint for garnish
Method:
1. Quarter your apples, so they fit through the funnel. You don’t need to remove the precious pips. The Oscar Juicer presses them for all they’re worth so you benefit from every ounce of locked-in nutrients.
2. Feed all your ingredients through the juicer. If your ginger cube gets wedged, add another apple slice. It sometimes helps to move small bits along.
3. Drink and enjoy. Vibrant health in 2 easy steps.
If you’re feeling adventurous, experiment with turning this zesty juice into a show-stopping cocktail. Add either a tot of gin or vodka for a fresh island style tipple.
