To use, remove the frozen inner core from the freezer and place it in to the outer sleeve, pour in your ingredients, mix and scrape the cup with the included spoon, and watch as the slush freezes before your eyes.

There is no getting around the fact that the Zoku Slush isn't "cheap". I was uncertain that it would deliver enough value, but our family now owns 4 and they are constantly in use.
The Slush is not a gimmick, and it delivers like the description and pictures indicate. After freezing it makes a slush in a few minutes. And if your experience of slush is the watery ice crystals and over-sweet syrups from movie theatres, then this will blow you away. Our favourites are fruit juices or Nesquick/Milo, which come out smooth and delicious. It takes slightly less than a full glass of liquid, and fruit juice in small quantities is not unhealthy, so you get a cheap and guilt-free pudding or treat.
Once you have finished eating, if you rinse out your Slush, dry it and put it back in the freezer you can make another one within a few hours. If you leave it to stand until the cup has reached room-temperature then it will take around 12 hours to get cold enough again.

We love our ZOKU Quick Pop maker so when I saw the Slush Maker, I had to buy it! The instructions are, as always, super easy to follow. I used a light alcoholic beverage in my Slush Maker and within about 7 minutes, I had a deliciously refreshing slushie! This is going to be a hit in summer. Not badly priced at all either. Definitely getting some as Christmas gifts too.

I love the Zoku Slush Maker and use it daily. In the morning after my workout walk I fill it with squeezed orange juice as a super refreshment orange slush in minutes and during work break I fix myself a quick iced coffee and milk frappe with it. In the evening its cocktail time and a strawberry slush or frozen lime is all I need to add to my vodka mixer to wind down in style- what a cool nifty gadget and reasonably priced too. Read more

What an awesome concept - instead of freezing the juice, you freeze the cup for a few hours and pour in juice and watch it turn to slush whilst you stir! The kids love it!

It works very well!
I used chocolate milk and it tasted very nice. Cold milo also worked well and I could refill it when half finished and it still slushed up. The slush wasn't like icicles but had a smooth texture.

Brillant product for the those that value instant gratification! I have tried it with a number of different fluids from fruit juice to rice milk and it delivers every time.
Only thing is to start stirring immediately so that ice doesn't build up on the walls as then it is difficult to loosen up if it gets too thick.
Perfect for healthy, chilled slushies of any description.

Okay, so I love Slush Puppies and have actually gone so far as to consider buying a Slush Puppy machine... but they're kinda big and not super pretty so I didn't. This is the space-saving, beautiful version! I bought two 'cause I don't wanna be waiting for the first cup to refreeze before enjoying my second slushie... I'll probably have to buy a couple more so guests can have too - currently they are forced to stare at me enviously as I enjoy my icy beverage. Really easy to use, in the seven minutes it takes to slush up your juice, you scrape off the icy bits from the edge of the cup with the provided spoon - it says gently, but erm, not too gently. Santa gave this to me this year as I have been very good, and it is fantastic, just add your fruit juice and start scrapping the ice from the sides into your juice mix, it is that easy. Once your fruit Slush has finished add a tot of Rum and voila you could be in the Caribbean drinking Rum Punches, it is that easy.
The cup does not need washing after, just give it a rinse and a wipe with a dry cloth and pop it back in the fridge till your next cocktail. I wish they had invented these a lot earlier they are worth every penny. Read more

This is such a handy item for a quick refreshment or to dry up little ones' tears in no time! It is very easy to use and the end-result is terrific!
Pity it doesn't work on diet drinks, but that's not the end of the world. Also important to keep the inner in the freezer at all times just to be prepared for that unplanned slush-craving!

If you love slushies or milkshakes - get one of these! Very easy to use, creates the slushiness in a few minutes after pouring in the liquid.
It can be a bit messy when stirring & scraping the ice from the side - trick is to just to constantly scrape the edges so you don't encounter any major resistance which leads to splashes.
Will leave a very hard ice deposit at the bottom when you're done drinking - best way to counter this is to keep a bit of liquid back & pour in to dissolve that bit.

These cups really work well, almost too well! A good idea to decant them into a pretty glass once they've reached the desired consistency or else it turns into a a solid popsicle. Works really well with juice, ice-tea or NoMU chocolate milk. Frozen yogurt in no time, just leave it in the Zoku Slush Maker a little longer. We enjoyed ours so much that we took them with us on holiday!

Another day with no reason to cheat on low CHO!
It makes great soft-serve consistency ice cream, and if you transfer the slushy/ice cream to another dish as soon as it is finished, and rinse out the Zoku in cold water, it is ready to go again in no time!
I've made french vanilla soft serve, great frozen greek yoghurt, dark chocolate sorbet... and have all kinds of plans.

I bought this to make summer cocktails out by the pool and yes it does work but the alcohol added sometimes makes it more runny than slushy. Because its been so hot I've had to sometimes add the mixture back into the freezer for a few minutes to get slushy. It's a good buy but I don't think its totally amazing.

Although it's a bit of a drag that you can only buy these on their own, they are definitely a good investment no matter your age. They work quickly and efficiently, right before your eyes.
The best part is I've mixed my slush in the maker, decanted it into wine glasses and added a dash of alcohol and made more in the same maker. This means you can get two or three portions out of your ZOKU Slush & Milkshake Maker before having to put it back in the freezer. AND you can make cocktails. Bought these as a treat for the kids. Pure magic!!! I had to wait very patiently to borrow one to make a coffee frappe. They we're in constant use over summer and get pulled out for the odd "Nesquick slushie" even in the colder weather. Total winner.

Service from Yuppiechef was great - Zoku's work perfectly for making slush - exactly what we needed to help keep cool in this hot weather. Easy to use. Freeze unit for 8 hours or so, take out of freezer, add juice, stir slowly for a few minutes and enjoy your slush. Depending on how fast you use it we found a single "freezed" unit could make 2-3 slushies.

I am reserving judgement as I have only used this slushy maker to make chocolate milkshakes so far.
I followed the instructions to scrap away from the sides every min for 7 min. Unless you quickly eat it, it may resemble a slushy version of a chocolate milkshake but if you take your time to enjoy your drink using the provided scraper and spoon, the milk begins to harden too thickly at the sides and eventually it’s almost impossible to get off the sides unless you use water to wash it out.
Not too impressed, to be honest, but we shall see how it does with a more water-based mocktail.

Bought this item because of the good reviews and it has not let us down! Works like a charm although I was a little skeptic. My 7 year-old wanted a slushy machine! I got him this instead and he has not stopped making slushies for a week now. It’s like a science experiment for him every time. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

I bought two of these after reading the great reviews on Yuppiechef. It's simple to use and great as a little activity for the children in the afternoon, especially during the summer.
My five year old loves seeing the icicles form on the side and scraping those off. His two year old little sister enjoys the end result but not so much the process.

Now I’m one for a midnight sweet treat and a sucker for frozen desserts and this product has blown me away!
Now I was sceptical about it being a bit pricey but I'm super impressed with this and it’s definitely worth every cent. I’ve used it all week to make frozen yogurt and slushies and they come out amazing every time. Definitely recommend!

Such a nifty little product this. This is one of those gadgets that you weren't sure if you should order and now you need more of them. Not only does it live up to expectation, I have found that a fizzy drink speeds up the process too. What a nice to have... I have to get more for the kids now as this is mine and only mine.
