With Essenza Mini, Nespresso has delivered its smallest and most compact machine yet – without any compromise on taste. Offering 2 programmable cup sizes, this automatic coffee machine creates perfect coffee just the way you like it. It includes a stand alone Aeroccino milk frother, allowing you to create an endless number of milk based coffee drinks.

Nespresso coffee capsules contain freshly roasted and ground Grand Cru coffee, sealed into airtight capsules. This ensures no ageing occurs, so it’s as perfect and fresh as the day it was roasted. Included in each Nespresso machine’s box is a selection of 7 capsules.
NOTE: Nespresso machines are only compatible with Nespresso coffee capsules. There are 24 standard varieties available, as well as other varieties and flavoured coffees available seasonally. These capsules must be purchased from Nespresso boutique stores or on their online store. Any promotional capsule vouchers included with purchase are redeemable at Nespresso stores only.

I have been sceptical about Nespresso... the cost of the pods, the recycling of used pods, the frothing... After reading the reviews and experiencing other machines I opted for the newly released Essenza Mini. It is Nespresso's smallest machine yet, but I can find disadvantages to that. Yes the water container only does about 2-3 lungos before you have to refill it, and the 'pod catcher' only holds 4-5 used pods but those are not really problems. I have made about 14 drinks with it, and I'm super impressed. It is cheaper than its bigger cousins, and gives hot, strong espresso quickly, and is ideal for tiny apartments - so there is no downside really. I also like that the Aeroccino frother is separate to the machine so I can use it for other drinks (chai lattes etc). It really does froth the milk well. I use low-fat milk and it provides plenty of froth for a cappuccino. You can't go wrong!

It's very small, so it takes up very little space. The milk frother works amazingly well and is dead quiet. The coffee is good, so the rate those pods are disappearing foretells a much steeper budget for my coffee addiction. Good thing Nespresso accepts empty pods for recycling at their stores, otherwise my conscience would be bugging me with every cup.

This cute little machine would be so great IF it would yield more coffee than water. You have to use two to three capsules to get a decent amount of coffee. The foil cap is not pierced properly all the way around so only yields little of the coffee and then spews water. That's with the short option. For the lungo, even worse, so little coffee, so much water. I even try doing the short option, stopping it the moment it starts spewing water, then press it again to get more coffee but it really yields very little coffee, all in all. I'm not sure if that's a fault or a characteristic of the machine. I think the latter. Read more

Lovely little machine... Can be taken with wherever you go. Only one thing: after making coffee, the water is not that hot I would like it to be. So I put it in the micro for few seconds before adding the froth or I put in boiled water instead of cold water.

Unfortunately you need to jump through hoops to get your 10 free sleeves of coffee - they are not delivered with the product. I have now contacted Nespresso directly for the THIRD time, with no joy. Be warned...

Amazing machine, but sadly only received 7 pods instead of the 14 as stated on the site & the box. Also waited 13 days for delivery, when the site said they were in stock.
However, Yuppiechef customer support is very responsive and easy to work with.
Buy this machine - just check how many pods you get :)

Nespresso have the formula nailed, my third machine performs just as well as my previous two. No mess, no fuss, the compact machine never gets in your way but produces the same great cup of coffee. The only downside is the water tank is fairly small but is easy to refill so not a huge problem.

I love my Nespresso machine. However I have discovered that it is not working properly. When I use the Lungi button, I get only 30ml coffee. I thought that this was normal until it was pointed out to me by someone else who has one.

So cute and compact. Fits snugly into the kitchen and brews fabulous coffee. I love the adjustable settings and am very happy with this purchase! The only downfall is that the milk frother doesn't work well with fresh milk. Only long life milk makes a good froth.

Luxury in a little dynamite package. Quick, quiet and quality. Reviews on this machine lists not being able to fit standard size cup. This is not correct. The drip tray removes so easily and then any cup fits. Absolute value for money.

I got a Yuppiechef voucher for my wedding and didn't know what to buy (the options are endless). A coffee machine is always a good idea. I chose this machine because it's affordable and can do everything that I want from a coffee machine. It didn't disappoint. It's small and compact and the coffee is amazing. I think this is perfect for two people. If you maybe have a family of 5, it won't work if you have to make coffee for everyone every time. You have to refill with water quite regularly. I use boiled water to ensure that the coffee is nice and warm. I love my new coffee machine and would recommend this to anyone. Read more
