For any serious home cook or professional chef this electric sharpener is a must! Takes a little practice to perfectly sharpen a blade but once you've got that right you'll be A for away! Your knives will never have been sharper. Not great at sharpening serrated blades, but really, who uses those; if your straight flat blades are sharp enough you will never use a serrated blade again! ☺🔪

For 35 years of married life we have battled with knives going blunt, we must have every knife sharpener under the sun and at least 2 butchers sets of good knives and countless other “ever sharp” knives but over time they have all gone blunt and it was a mission for my husband to sharpen them, despite our myriad of sharpeners. We saw the Chef’s Choice at my cousins home in America recently and when we were told we could buy it from Yuppiechef it was our first purchase when we arrived back home. Well, what a pleasure - all our discarded knives are now razor sharp and back in use in our kitchen and the cost of the product is well offset by the fact that we don’t have to buy new knives or sharpeners ever again in our lives, nor will our son as he will eventually inherit it and in turn save a fortune. Had we bought this at the start of our marriage we would have saved a fortune on buying new knives when our old ones became blunt and the myriad of knife sharpeners we had purchased failed to resharpen them properly!

I bought my first Chef's Choice 2 stage diamond sharpener 15 years ago. I find the diamond steel, difficult, especially the correct angle. The sharpener takes all guesswork and frustration of blunt knives out of the equation. I have used Wusthof Chef's Knives for the last 25 years, with this product, and the purchase of the 2-stage, is an investment for the care of excellent knives. Highly recommended. Read more

The knife sharpener works exceptionally well and you have to be extremely careful not to cut yourself as the edge is razor sharp so don't run your fingers down the edge of the blade.

I would highly recommend this knife sharpener as it will transform your knives, in some instances making them better than new.

This is an excellent sharpener. It has the ability to sharpen any knife. It does need a good steele to hone the blade. I suggest a ceramic honing rod.
In the end I “upgraded” to the Work sharp E5, which I now prefer. More effort but better result for me personally.

A friend recently said to me: A Porche might be expensive, but it is an excellent machine.

The Chef's Choice 120 might be a bit expensive for a home cook, but it is an excellent machine.

On the day I received it I sharpened all my kitchen knives. The process was easy if you take time to first read the manual thoroughly.

It sharpened them all precisely and it is a pleasure to cut cleanly through a ripe tomato again!
