Moka Pot for Inducion

I live in an Old-Age home with not too many private facilities such as a stove. But I do have an Induction Cooker and so I needed an induction capable Moka Pot. This Moka Pot was the perfect answer. Love it, and use it every day.

I have been using a Bialetti Moka, daily, for many years so panic set in when I moved to a place that only has induction! Very happy with my new Moka.

This is still the best way to make coffee in my opinion. I use this "6 Cup" to make 2 cups, and the coffee is sublime. I use a third of it for my wife's cappuccino and the balance for my Americano.

The process is therapeutic, it's a mini ritual, like making a wood fire for a braai. None of this button pressing for me....

Really nice. Spend some time experimenting, and you will be amazed at how BAD you can make coffee, and then,
how GREAT you can make coffee (finer grinds).

Time invested will be well rewarded.

Good product, just as good as the whole Bialetti range and another great item that shows the passion that is "made in Italy".

Great way to start a day with that coffee taste and smell and the comfort that the Bialetti sound brings.

I can’t fully espresso my excitement!

While the item was making its way to me (received it within 24 hours of ordering — way outside of Cape Town), I was watching more videos and reading tips and tricks on this product, wondering if it won't be too big — because what will I do with the extra coffee? During a WhatsApp conversation my mom (who bought this item for me for my birthday) advised me to store the leftover coffee in the freezer for my summer iced-coffee craze! Can't wait!

The first 4 rounds of cleaning (first water only and thereafter 3 x do-not-drink-the-coffee-brew-it-only (using older ground coffee because it literally goes down the drain)), was a long tedious time-consuming venture, rushing to get it all done before load shedding.

I specially bought a fresh bag of Arabica for my first brew and it was game on! (If you have a Midea induction plate, use the 300 or 500 setting — it takes time, but good things ain't rushed). The coffee that come out the other side was to BREW for! Amazing! Nobody will ever convince me that that is NOT espresso! Don't be fooled by articles that state this is not the real deal! It is all about patience and the quality you put in.

I used Designer Water (pH 10), alternatively Thirsti (pH 8.9) with freshly ground coffee at a low heat setting (yes, it takes time, but it is worth the wait).

I would highly recommend. No looking back. Just be sure to buy the right size. The service was great and the product is of exceptional quality! Oh, and don't worry if you find a tiny little metal ball in the base, I googled and it is not a missing part.
