Zoku Ice Ball Maker, Set of 2

I bought these as a gift from the kids for my sister. I cheekily gave them a test run before gifting as the kids were far too excited at the prospect of huge balls of ice. They did not disappoint! I will definitely be ordering myself a set of these for my whiskey.

This is always a talking point when we have people over - and I just got a whole lot more as Christmas gifts. I'm not sure about it making your drink cold without diluting it - but nobody really seems to care about that with the novelty of a round ice cube...

This is a really nice invention. It works, without any hassle, making perfect ice balls every time.

It looks great in a big wine glass and a Whisky tumbler. It keeps your drink cold without diluting it.

These giant round ice balls look very impressive when served. They stay frozen longer than smaller ice cubes so dilutes the whiskey less and are easy to clean and refill.

These ice balls are so much fun. They keep your drink colder for longer but don't melt too fast either. One ice ball can easily last 2-3 drinks.
They are very easy to make and unmould.

Fantastic. This product was far more effective and far more fun than expected. The slow melting of the ice ball eliminates that "watered down" effect that a drink gets with conventional ice cubes. Bought a set and then ordered three more they are loved so much.

Wow! Brilliant product. Melts really slowly, so keeps your drink cold without the dilution. I even put a few in my pets water bowl to keep their water chilled. Works better than small ice cubes.

I bought these for my boyfriend as he quite enjoys a whiskey on the rocks. In his words "they are rad!". He uses them in anything these days (not just whiskey) because they look "so cool". He was a little impatient the first time he wanted to use them, so he kept pushing the silicone which made the ice crack at the top. When they were eventually frozen and he poured whiskey over it, it cracked and broke into 2 pieces. It hasn't happened since he's started to practice some restraint, so my advice is to give it time to freeze properly without poking at it otherwise the ball won't stay intact. Read more

The ice balls take much longer to melt than regular blocks. A total win for wine or gin. May be useful to buy multiple sets so you can stock up on ice balls for a party.

Great little gadget to have when serving drinks. Easy to fill and remove once frozen. Looks amazing and takes a while to melt. Cools liquids very fast, makes you wonder what to freeze in it next, it's so much fun. Want to get at least 2 sets more - it's fabulous.

I only bought one set, but store the already made ice ball in a zip-lock bag in the feezer, and make more, and thus have about 10 ice balls ready for a family gathering....

I read all the glowing reviews and with some trepidation ordered two sets, knowing that if they did not do as needed Yuppiechef would happily accept a return.

Needless to say, they are great - work well in a variety of drinks. Just now need to work on getting the ice-balls totally transparent!

I finally got my hands on these ice molds and I am thrilled! One ice ball lasts two double shots of whiskey. No more getting up to refill ice either, it dissolves very slowly. Here’s a tip: get a 10cc syringe from Dischem and use it to fill the ice mould. No spills or wasting water. Fill up, freeze and enjoy.

Always wanted to get these for hubby and have been shopping around looking at various brands. This is the only brand that didn't have bad reviews so I decided to try it out for myself. Yes, best buy and hubby doesn't have whiskey without these ice cubes.

I love my round ice balls. They work perfectly for Whiskey or wine. It's almost a perfect sphere, but it has a very noticeable seam that you don't see in the pictures. I'm not sure if it would ever be possible to get rid of, so I have just gotten used to it.

I have tried to make perfectly clear ice, but that is also not really possible.

Great product that gives a reliable result and is ideal for your whiskey glass. Hassle-free removal of the sphere due to the silicone mould makes it relatively easy to use too.

The only issue is that it does require some space in the freezer and, of course, the sphere is not going to fit in every glass.

Other than that, great product that works well as a gift too.

The ice balls are great but a bit too big. The photo makes them look like the size of a ping pong ball, but they are actually about twice that size, so they don't fit into a lot of glasses. Other than that, the product is well made and works well.

These make a great ice ball that is easy to get out. A small clean olive oil can help fill it quickly and easily.

The ice lasts longer and is quite a feature. I'm still not sure how to make a clear iceball, that looks like a lot of effort that may not be worth the expenditure.

If you enjoy your whiskey, then this is the thing you need to buy!

It chills the whiskey very well and doesn't melt too quickly.

The only thing that would make this item a lot better is if it came with instructions on how to make the ice clearer. (Or if the product itself could make the ice clearer).

The ice blocks tend to crack if kept in the freezer too long. i.e. making the ice, removing from mould and then storing. Not great if you're having a lot of people over for dinner as you have to start prepping ice way in advance.
