The Roast Beef Fluted Slicer has earned its name: its shape and sharpness are designed to cut very thin slices of hard ingredients, especially from roasts. These qualities make this knife ideally suited for fruits and vegetables as well as other meats, including ham and beef.

The "fluted," or hollow edge, is crafted with evenly spaced vertical indentations that create small air pockets between the blade and the food. These small air pockets gently push thin slices of food off the blade and reduce friction and drag.

Care Instructions
- Hand wash recommend and immediately towel-dry
- Avoid using abrasive sponges or leaving your knife soaking in the sink
- Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as metal, glass or hardwoods like bamboo

- Sharpen as needed using a whetstone, sharpening steel, or hand-held knife sharpener
Dishwasher Instructions
Although some Wüsthof products are dishwasher safe, we do not recommend that your knives and scissors be put in the dishwasher. Blades can knock together, damaging them, and if not washed soon after use, corrosive food particles can damage the blade. Rather wash your knives as soon as possible after each use with warm water and a little detergent, rinse carefully and dry with a towel.
