I bought this as a birthday present and Yuppiechef made sure I got it on time. The biltong cutter was not only loved by the birthday boy, but the hit of the evening! A visitor from France loved the design and how well the slicer worked. So much so that he wants to order one to take back to France. Definitely not the last one I buy.

Unfortunately this item was not suitable and didn't chop the biltong very well. I still had to use a knife to complete the process. Not what I was looking for. Item now returned. Sadly!

Biltong slicer not too bad.
I would like to have better rubber gripping so that the slicer does not tip when you use is. It's also a bit smaller than I thought.

Not totally blown away. Third attempt at cutting Biltong, we had cut into the Bamboo and it splintered the base a bit. It looks very pretty, but not so solid. They could have made the black part that you have to cut on broader. It is also a little bit wobbly and not steady. It looks very modern but it is more for show than 100% practical.
