Product info

Fresh, fruity and unmistakably Swartland. This unwooded Chenin comes off old organically farmed vines, some planted back in 1972. It's vibrant and pure up front, with real texture underneath from 11 months on the lees. Named for winemaker Craig and Carla's daughter, affectionately called Mielie, a nod to a food that connects every South African table.

  • Mielie Green Chenin Blanc 2025, 750ml
  • Made from Chenin Blanc vines planted in 1972 and 2001, on organically farmed Swartland vineyards
  • Hand-harvested in early February for freshness and purity
  • Whole-bunch pressed, fermented across stainless steel and small barrels
  • 11 months on its gross lees for texture, depth and complexity
  • Lightly filtered, bottled with minimal SO₂

About Testalonga

  • Avoid direct sunlight, vibration, and fluctuating temperatures, as these can damage the wine’s quality over time
