Taurus Vacuum Sealer

This TAURUS sealer is very practical and satisfying. Separate buttons for each function, and the LED indicators are clear and understandable. Power cable stores onboard. The whole unit is easy to store as well, with everything in one place.

The sealer roll is stored and dispensed onboard from inside the tray, unlike other models with loose external feeding where it rolls around on the counter.

EASY process: pull roll just past cutter line, seal the bottom end, pull roll to required bag length, cut, insert contents, vacuum top end, cut. (DON'T press down on the lid, just make sure it clicks in on both sides...if it doesn't, something is in the way).

The built-in slider cutter is very practical, giving straight horizontal bag cuts.

The bag seal function works quickly as well (5 seconds).
The vacuum seal is very tight. (Keep in mind, as this is not a commercial sealer, it will stop after about ten bag seals to cool off).

The Taurus works perfectly with other generic bags, as long as they have a rough texture on one side for the air to escape during the vacuum suction process. Generic bag rolls that are too big (like 15m), can be rolled onto another core to a smaller diameter to fit into the tray.

Difficult to use. Only vacuums 1 in every 50 attempts. You have to place the bag EXACTLY right or it won't work. And you don't hit that sweet spot that often. Terrible product. Waste of money.

Complete waste of money. Unfortunately, this vacuum sealer hasn't sealed properly once. Tried different bags even.

I have had this sealer for a few months and used it on the odd occasion. It has since stopped sealing together.

It is extremely frustrating as I did my research looking for a vacuum sealer that would work with generic bags. This vacuum sealer was supposed to be able to use any type of bag, however, it ended up not being the case.

Would not recommend it!
