About Spier

With a history that reaches back to 1692, Spier in Stellenbosch is one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa, the first vines having been planted in the 1700s. Alongside the Frans K Smit, Spier's flagship creation, the farm produces three ranges of terroir-driven wine, each with its own style and sense of place. As the winery is committed to investing in people, the environment and ethical farming, the Spier cellar is Fair Trade accredited and organically certified.
