• Ashley cucumbers are an early variety and a prolific producer of medium size 30cm fruits that are darker than other cultivars. Resistant to downy mildew and other problems normally caused by humid conditions. It also grows well in containers. It was developed by the South Carolina Truck Experiment Station and was released in 1956

• How to plant:
  
  • Snap the slab of seed into single blocks
  • Before planting, soak in water until the block sinks
  • Plant 2mm below the surface of the soil. Crush the block lightly as you plant it
