Snappy Chef Single 2000W Induction Cooker Plate

Truly a disappointing experience. Bought the single induction cooker plate less than a year ago. Have used it sparingly as a reserve. Went to place a pot on the stove, and the entire glass surface fractured into minute pieces. Approached SnappyChef under the 24-month warranty, and their response was 'Not our problem'.

Turns out their warranty is hollow; covers virtually nothing. r />

Always wanted a induction plate. This one is super quick and efficient. No regrets.
It needs a certain size above 20cm to work I noted. Smaller pans don’t register

The single plate Snappy Chef Induction is an excellent product. We already used the two-plate and traveller Snappy Chef Induction for years. What make this particularly one great is that it can handle larger pots and pans and is at a very competitive price.

Excellent induction plate. My second one. Can't do without it. Be aware that it is VERY noisy (cooling fan). My old plate was 1/2 as noisy. The operating noise is the only downside.

We bought it in 2019 while living in Johannesburg, and we've since moved to Kenya. After nearly five years of daily use, we finally encountered an issue. The customer service team was incredibly responsive — since we had a trip planned to Johannesburg, they suggested we bring it in, and they fixed it right away. It was absolutely worth the long distance trip for this small but mighty induction plate!

Beyond the excellent customer service (and the fact that it's South African-made, energy savings benefits, etc.), here are a few features why this stove is frequented at our house:

The timer – I've taken the time to figure out the timing for some frequently done activities, e.g. my Moka pot for coffee. Setting the heat level and timer makes my mornings less chaotic and stress-free as to whether I've left something on the stove too long, etc. Coffee will be ready, switched off, and waiting when it's done.

Heat levels – I typically cook on low heat (P3), but when I occasionally need higher heat (e.g. searing), at P9 this plate gets hotter than what I can get to with my gas stove burners.

In short, despite being a "tiny" single-plate induction plate, this stove gets more use in our household than our 4-burner gas stove. Read more
