Only place the citrus juicer on level and dry surfaces

Make sure the citrus juicer is unplugged before fitting or removing the juicer components

Don't use abrasive or corrosive detergents (e.g. powder products, stain removers and metallic scourers)

Never use rough or abrasive materials, or sharp metal scrapers

To keep the outer surface of the motor base in good condition, it should be cleaned regularly after use

Let the appliance cool down first. Use a soft, damp cloth with mild detergent

Don't operate for longer than 3 minutes at a time

Wait 15 minutes between uses
Care when juicing
- Don't press the citrus fruit down too hard onto the cone in order to prevent the bitter pith being extracted with the juice
- Ensure that the spout is not blocked
- Avoid leaving citrus pulp residue to dry on the citrus juicer surfaces
- Never use hard or sharp objects to remove pulp so as not to scratch or damage the strainer or juicing cone
- Refrain from overfilling the juice collector

Beautiful to look at but has a major design flaw :-(
Loved the look of this juicer as it matches everything in our kitchen and we have the toaster. However despite its good looks I feel there is a major design flaw which is that the actual ridged cap where you place the half citrus and press is too smooth. Ornament only!
Although a most beautiful product to behold, the juicer's motor has a design flaw which means it burns out and dies after 3 minutes of juicing...even less than half a jug!
The product label suggests it 'may overheat' after 3 minutes, but it actually dies. It's happened with two successive Smeg juicers I have bought.

Dont buy this juicer
We have had two of these. The first one's motor died within a week and the second one worked for about a month and the motor has died too.
My previous machine was 20+ years old and never gave a day's hassle, so sorry I gave it away when I got the Smeg
