Red espresso is premium rooibos tea refined under patent to an espresso grind similar to coffee, and produced for use in espresso and coffee appliances. Expressed, it delivers a strong, rich-tasting red espresso, complete with a crema that is the pure essence of rooibos. In this concentrated expression, red espresso is richer in flavour, darker in colour and higher in antioxidants than regular rooibos tea.

100% rooibos tea enjoyed like coffee
Can be used in the same way that ground coffee is, in espresso machines, moka pots, French presses and coffee machines

Just like coffee, red espresso is best when prepared using an espresso machine or stovetop espresso maker. Using steam and boiling water under pressure, both appliances extract a clean, rich taste that is the pure essence of Rooibos and deliver a crema unique to red espresso.

I always order red cappuccinos so now I can make my own with the ground rooibos tea. I pop it in a plunger and froth up some milk and vwala!!!! Pour a little honey and you are all set!

I bought this for my wife who loves red cappuccinos. I often find myself having a red cappuccino at night instead of coffee. I like that you can make it stronger than a regular cup of rooibos. When made in my espresso machine, it makes a good crema.

With a dollop of honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon, it's a perfect teatime treat. Absolutely love this stuff! Finally stong rooibos without the wait. Also found Yuppiechef to be the cheapest online retailer for 1kg — big plus since I will definitely keep purchasing!

Able to use it in our bean to cup machine (Siemens EQ.6 plus s500) on ground coffee setting without any issues.

I bought this to use in my Bodum coffee press but found that it was too fine and clogged up the press and quite a bit of the dust simply passed through the press into the tea itself. I had to pass it through an additional coffee filter to remove the fine bits and dust. I do like that you can make it as strong as you want but it's a pain due to the fine dust.
