I was a bit unsure if it would indeed work with our Nespresso U, but it did, and it's absolutely delicious! Can't wait to try the different recipes!

It was my 1st tym that I tasted a red expresso capsules and I was amazed by its taste. It was so refreshing, thanks Yuppiechef, if it was not for you, I should have not known about this delicious product.

The pods work well with my Nespresso machine. I will definately recommend this product. There are so many different drinks, which can be made using red espresso capsules... The site helps a lot for making red lattes, milkshakes, summer drinks etc.

Perhaps I'm not a fussy rooibos drinker. Seems to be an expensive way to not have to dunk a teabag. Fun to try though.

Not working with Nespresso U

These pods are not compatible with the Nespresso U machine. I have tried four and three of them "squashed" in the machine due to the pressure being too high for the non-aluminum pod. I assume that this will be the case with all automatic Nespresso machines. I suspect that only the handle-press Nespresso machines (Pixie) will be able to take these pods.

Tastes just like rooibos and works perfectly with my Nespresso machine. Rooibos cappuccinos have now become a favourite of mine! Great tasting!

I bought these capsules for my husband - he loves red cappuccinos - we have used them in our Nespresso machine, they work really well & much easier than making red espresso in a plunger. Would definitely recommend the product.

I love rooibos tea, so this is a nice spin on it. I really enjoy a nice Red Espresso as a cappuccino. Yet to try the other recipes. My husband is not a rooibos fan, so he was very confused with what he called a cuppa tea-ofee. So bottom line is - if you like rooibos, this is gonna float your boat.

I like rooibos tea but don't drink it often because it is a little troublesome to prepare. You have to steep it for a few minutes, and since Rooibos tea leaves are small (even a fine mesh tea ball can't always strain them) you often get leaves in your drink and a mess in your teapot.
I used a Nespresso coffee maker to prepare the Red Espresso. It was great!
The special espresso grind gives you rich, strong rooibos flavour in a very short time, without risk of over-steeping or the mess of leaves.
Making a latte out of the resulting liquid yields a rich, luxurious drink. It also makes a delicious iced tea.
The packaging says caffeine-free, but for me, the tea seemed a little stimulating anyhow. I felt pretty energised after drinking it. So for me it's a good choice for caffeine-free energy. Read more

The flavour is wonderful, when it works properly. Every other pod doesn't puncture fully and then the flavour is not quite as strong. A pity, because they really taste good.

These capsules make a delicious cup of rooibos tea (using a capsule coffee machine). The flavour is rich and delicious. Much better than tea bags and a must for tea lovers.

I skeptically bought a pack of ten after reading awesome reviews. Didn't think it would work well in my Nespresso but it did. I do have a manual machine, which apparently could make a difference. I love red cappuccinos and can now have them at home.

The red espresso capsules are my new favourite! I make a mean cappuccino and it tastes the same way a professional would make it at a restaurant or cafe. It is great value for money and healthy as well :-)

Nice but not 100% compatible

It makes a nice cup of red espresso but I would say these are more like 40% compatible with Nespresso machines - at least my brand new Nespresso Inissia. I say this because the capsules aren't pierced properly like normal Nespresso brand capsules. The caps need to be pierced by the machine to high-pressure push all the water through the contents to make the brew. With a standard Nespresso cap, I get a nice 5x5 piercing with 25 holes constantly. The red espresso caps rarely get more than 9 or 10 holes pierced and I've even had just 2 holes created before. (10 out of 25 is 40%)
I did a little research and found information on their website regarding the Nespresso U machine which states that the capsule has to be inserted tilting slightly backwards. It seems like the same process is needed on my Inissia but even then results in few perforations. I have to tilt backwards and double-pierce-handle-thingy to get an acceptable outcome.
So, moral of my story, try get a small pack first and figure out how your machine needs to work with it. But I'm a bit of an type A kind of guy when it comes to these things so maybe it doesn't matter. Read more

It is quick and easy to use with the Nespresso. A yummy latte in the colder weather is just so comforting and the smell reminds me of growing up with the rooibos being brewed in a kettle on the stove!

I was in two minds about buying this, because really now I thought, how different can this Rooibos really be? Boy was I wrong! I was blown away by the taste, the intense (but not overpowering) flavour and the .... could I call it "creaminess"? Its as though its hugging your tongue and taste buds :) After having tried this, I simply cannot go back!

We struggled to get the pods to work in our Nespresso machine. For some reason the pods didn't want to pierce properly, so it took about 3/4 tries before we actually got anything other than water coming through.
I would not recommend this product to a friend.
