A very useful bowl. Has measurements in ml and pints up to 2l, but I think total capacity is about 3l, so a good size. Has a pouring lip and a small flattened area at the bottom - the latter is useful when beating by hand and scraping batter/ dough etc. A handle would have elevated this review to 5 stars. This bowl is everything you need in a baking bowl - it is versatile going into the oven, microwave & dishwasher. A sturdy lip to hold when beating and lip for pouring mixture out.

I feel that such a large item of glass should be more robust as compared to other smaller items made from Pyrex.

However, I bought it to defrost items in the microwave and it is perfect for that. It has a clever design that allows one to rest it at an angle making it a great mixing bowl as well.

I am happy with this purchase.
