I love my Pyrex measuring jug as unlike the plastic type, it does not discolour and the measurements don't fade away. Now just to get the smaller versions as well.

I remember baking at home as a child using my mom's Pyrex measuring jug and am proud to now have one myself. It is a baking essential. Great product.

Love the open handle design

I wasn't sure about the open handle design initially, as the jug I was replacing was from the 80s. But it's actually easier to use, and they've found a way to create a seamless design. Also doesn't heat up as quickly as the contents, so fewer burned fingers.

Buying Pyrex measuring jugs this time round (actually I bought the 500ml one too) will, I trust be a case of third time lucky! My first set, plastic, lost all its markings. The next cracked when filled with boiling water and so in exasperation, I decided that Pyrex was the only way to go. Both of the Pyrex jugs have perfect pouring spouts so there are no spills or overflows when you pour, and I love the stumpy shape of the one litre jug which could easily double up as a mixing bowl. The one addition, however, that I would have liked is to have had cup markings included in the measurements. Read more

I purchased the 500ml and 250ml after the plastic versions I had from another brand cracked. Totally love both of them, they make measuring for cooking and baking a breeze. Text is clear and quality can be felt from first touch. Wish I had bought them ages ago instead of the plastic ones.

A good product from Pyrex. They have trimmed a bit off the top so the 250ml mark is pretty close to the top and spout, not as much headspace as their older design.

I bought this to replace a dropped Pyrex jug that must have been at least 20 years old. Besides the change in handle style from a full ear-like handle to the new style attached only at the rim, I was surprised to find the new jug to be shorter, wider and more bowl-like. But after using it for a few weeks I think it was a good design change.

Lovely, solid, heat-safe glass. It has multiple types of measurements on the side which is helpful when using American recipes or having to use pints. You can put boiling hot stock in it without worry too. It's a great basic kitchen item to have.
