Pure Pleasure Extra Length Fitted Electric Blanket

The fitted electric blanket fits the whole bed, and goes over our extra depth mattress. It's very comfortable and the controls are out of the way.

Bought the blanket a year back and when we took it out this week one of the controls didn't work.
Contact call center today, surprise surprise the warranty lapsed 2 weeks back so the only option is to send the entire electric blanket to the supplier for them to assess.......just as well buy a new one at another retailer. Really poor product and service...

Heats up well.
The connection of the control to the blanket is bulky and under the pillow. The control is basic and stiff.

I bought this item last Winter, used it for a couple of months. Took it out to use this Winter and one side is not working... very poor quality considering only got max three months use out of the blanket :(

Controls on this particular brand last barely a year before malfunctioning. I now have two of these products and can only order replacement controls from Cape Town at such a high cost (including courier) that it is not worth the money. Stay away from Pure Pleasure!

We were very disappointed with this product - looks beautiful and luxurious, but out of the 5 we bought for our guesthouse, they only lasted one Winter, when we started using them this Winter all but one stopped working.

Won't buy this brand again.

I had the item and after 2 weeks it stopped working. The same thing happened with the last Pure Pleasure electric blanket I bought. I would stay totally away from this brand, Unreliable product and expensive.

After struggling to find king extra length electric blanket, I was thrilled to find one at Yuppiechef. It is well made, fits perfectly and is so so comfortable. If you need an electric blanket, buy this make, it's wonderful.

Fits our kingsize extra length bed perfectly. The furry top is great. Heats up quickly. Have been searching for one like this for a couple of winters now, and luckily Yuppiechef came to the rescue. Easy to order, quick delivery, great product, great experience.

Perfect for this cold winter.
The heated blanket is soft and heats the bed from top to bottom and is soft and cosy. It has three heat settings and personally 3 is way too hot for me (that's how good it is).

I was so glad to be able to get an extra length blanket as I've battled everywhere to find one. The blanket has awesome features such as automatically detecting when it's overheating which is great. 2 switches on both sides so each person can adjust their own temperature.
It fits perfectly on my extra length bed and very happy with the purchase. Love the fact that it is fitted as well and doesn't have strings etc which you need to secure it with. Read more

Trying to find a Kingsize Extra-length electric blanket isn't easy. I was happy that Yuppiechef had them, and they were in stock.

There's a lot going for this blanket! I really like how easily and well it fits on the bed - it's as easy as putting on a fitted sheet! There are no annoying ties that you have to somehow manoeuvre under the mattress, which you never get tight enough and inevitably the mattress shifts. Not with this one!

The control units plug in easily and sit high up on the mattress and towards the edge.... they don't get in the way. The blanket warms up nicely and evenly and the three setting offer a good choice of warmth options.

It's an additional bonus that the blanket can be washed...am yet to try this though. Read more

This electric blanket, heats perfectly. I never feel like I'm too hot, or not warm enough. By putting it on just half an hour before bedtime is enough to have it at a comfortable enough temperature that I can turn it off as soon as I get into bed.

After having had a control malfunctioning within guarantee period (which was then replaced) the other control malfunctioned a few months after guarantee expiry. I mentioned this in a product review and received a call from a man claiming to be from Stingray Group - well I was immediately made aware that I probably fitted the blanket incorrectly causing nesting or folding (he did not know at the stage if it was a fitted blanket or not). Instead of just asking me to test the working control on the opposite side to determine the cause of the problem he started arguing with me about how these blankets should be fitted and I then ended the phone call as I could no longer endure his accusations and how it could not be their fault. I will now test the control but am unsure where I should get help if it is the control - I do not want to encounter this Stingray man again! Read more

There aren’t many options for an extra length electric blanket, this one fits well and is comfortable and helps take the chill off the bed. It only has 3 heat settings though and doesn’t offer a timer function, which would have made it awesome. A decent buy especially for the price.

Fits my King Extra Length Extra Depth mattress perfectly. Controls connection is high up so it is under the pillow and so not in the way when you sleep.

3 heat settings — lowest is great for all night long usage on these very cold winter nights.

Netting for the skirt is a bit flimsy but if you are gentle when fitting no damage done — and holds the blanket well in place.
And so much better than tie down version that slides non stop!

I bought a new King XL bed a couple of months ago and it has been such a struggle to get a good quality proper fitted Electric blanket. This purchase is big enough, fits properly on my bed and heats everywhere without cold spots. I would definitely recommend it.

Purchased King extra length electric blanket (the one purchased a couple of years ago stopped working on one side, this may be a weakness) but the new one is much improved. The controls are higher up and can't be felt (the previous blanket the controls were too low down).
Perfect fit for our new extra length, extra depth mattress. This is a particularly cold winter and we are loving our new blanket. Switch it on an hour before load shedding then jump into bed 10 minutes before the lights are switched off, snug and warm. This is a really good buy and we love it. And delivery was so quick, exceptional service as always.

I am extremely happy with this product. Fitted with ease unlike other makes I've had in the past. Control panels have 3 temperature settings, which suit us perfectly well. A must for the cold winter months.

This electric blanket is very good. It's also nice if you have a deep mattress as there is lots of tuck-in space.

The three big plusses of this electric blanket are that it is fitted, the plush cover prevents the bottom sheet from shifting and has separate temperature controls.

We are very happy with this product. It fits over my king extra-length mattress with ease (which is difficult to find as our mattress also has extra depth).

We bought this product in August 2022. We used it for about a month, then we used it again in May 2023. The control panels started to heat up so we sent it back to be repaired in June 2023. We used it in July and August 2023.
We then used it again from May 2024 until July 2024 — when it stopped working completely (does not heat up). The one year warranty has now expired. I am very disappointed. I would not recommend this product. Read more

So far this product has been a good, value for money purchase. What I really like about it, is that it doubles up as a mattress protector and is very comfortable because of the extra padding. The heat output to date has also been good. Will really know how good it is during Winter!
