This machine is the one for fresh pasta, works really well if you get your dough right and watch some online videos for help.

My one piece of advice is measure your counter overhang, mine at say 2cm is to small for the machine to clamp to, I reckon you need at least 5cm. I tried a thick chopping board instead but the board lifts off the counter so no good. I saw someone swears by using an old ironing board but for now I am using my dining room table. Read more

I got this lovely new kitchen tool - Imperia Double Cutter Pasta Machine - on the day I received it, rushed home, had wine and started rolling, hmmm must admit there was loads of flour and rolled pasta on the floor but great fun, we have now turned into "fresh pasta pro's" with this lovely product and never buy pasta anymore.

This is such a fantastic tool to have in your kitchen. It is so quick and easy to assemble and use.

The only thing that you have to watch out for is to ensure that you clean out all the dried pasta with a soft brush, otherwise you get some very strange looking spaghetti when you use it again.

We've all read those articles at how easy making your own pasta is. Now that I own the pasta machine I can honestly say it is that easy. It took 2 tries to find the best recipe (I used the basic egg pasta from the KitchenAid pasta attachment book) and it took me 15 minutes to make the dough, including washing up. The rolling out the dough and cutting was so easy and fun!

I love this machine. Was apprehensive at first but it works like a charm. I bought a ravioli press in UK and so made ravioli the first time I used it and they were like restaurant ones. I would recommend it to anyone who loves fresh pasta. Won't be buying any more store bought ones.

So the pasta has to have some time to dry before you cut it into ribbons or whatever shape - once I figured that out, it was great. The other thing is that it's a nightmare to clean - especially if your pasta was not dry enough when you put it through!

The machine is good quality, sturdy and once you get the hang of it, it goes quite quick! I had cheaper options but am very glad I went for the Imperia instead. Well worth every penny!

Fresh pasta! There is no better!
I had fresh pasta for the first time ever and made it myself. It melted in my mouth.

I've been dreaming about making my own pasta for a long time now, and when I finally decided to make the purchase of the Imperia Pasta Machine, I couldn't wait for its arrival. The machine works like a dream... I'm so impressed!! I previously had a cheaper pasta machine which broke. I bought this Imperia one and I can't believe the difference. It is fantastic and seems to have made the pasta making even easier. The tagliatelle cutter worked wonderfully, cutting the strips easily. I love this machine and am making pasta more often. Had previously owned a pasta cutter that worked well, yet consistently had issues of the dough getting stuck inside the rollers. This machine is solid, has brilliantly sharp cutters and is a pleasure to use. Try it together with the Granoro Farina Tipo 00 flour for the best fresh pasta you will ever eat!

I received this pasta machine as a birthday present recently and was delighted!

It is a sturdy, well constructed product that works like a dream. You can tell it was manufactured to a high standard and not built on the cheap. The cutting attachment that comes with the machine (for tagliatelle and flat spaghetti) is quite heavy, and cuts the pasta sheets clean through, with little fuss. It is a bit of a challenge feeding the pasta sheet through the cutting section, turning the handle and catching the cut pasta at the other end, but this will probably become easier over time, with experience.

Since you shouldn't actually wash the machine, it would have been a nice extra if it came with some kind of dusting brush/cloth to get the excess flour out of the crevices.

Overall, I think it is worth saving up and spending a little extra money on a high quality product like this one, rather than being met with the disappointment of a poorly functioning machine bought on the cheap. Read more

The Imperia Italian SP150 Double cutter was a dream to handle. The guided setup was very simple and the machine was extremely easy to use, making our first family pasta making afternoon fun.
The excitement on all faces as the first pasta sheet rolled out said it all and when the first Tagliatelle was churned out the kids were delighted at their efforts.

Nothing tastes as good as something homemade and the fresh pasta was to die for.

The whole experience was effortless and enjoyable for the whole family.

I would strongly recommend this product to any eager pasta maker.

For our first pasta machine it has been awesome.
We did a lot of research into the different machine options before we bought and it seems like this one is the best for long term usage. We're also really excited that it comes with a Ravioli filler attachment.
It is a bit tricky to clean if the dough is too sticky and gets stuck in the cutters, but it's super easy to use.

I have used other pasta makers in the past, and my big issue was that the attachments only included tagliatelle/fettuccine sized cutter (spaghetti cutters are normally sold separately). Not the case with this one, where you get a cutter that can do both. Super easy to use and even easier to clean. I am on my 4th batch of pasta with this machine and all going well. I am even working on perfecting my panzerotti pasta formula... and getting close. Read more

I love my new pasta machine. It works a treat. The reason for not giving it full marks is because of the handle which you turn to roll out and cut the pasta. It would have been nice if the handle could lock into place as it keeps on falling out and I have already damaged my screed kitchen floor because of this. Otherwise, great product.

Good product but knob extremely stiff

The knob on the side is very stiff. My children like to make pasta but cannot operate this machine due to the knob. If you want to make a lot of pasta your hand will have blistered turning the knob.

I've been using a cheap pasta maker for years now. I love making pasta, but the machine was spoiling it for me. It turned really hard and required force in the lower settings, and the tagliatelle cutter only cut every second piece properly. I've read up on the Imperia and really wanted one, but though it to be a bit pricey, so I continued with the old one. Then I received a gift voucher for Yuppiechef and decided to go for it. One use and I wish I've done it a long time ago! Smooth sailing and the tagliatelle cutter worked perfectly on each sheet. Really worth the price. I'm making lasagne today! Read more

As this is the first pasta machine I have ever owned, I cannot compare it to others. However, I am reasonably happy with it. It definitely works and once you get the hang of making pasta, you can take it from being flour and egg to the plate in about fifteen minutes. Also, fresh pasta is so much better than manufactured pasta as I discovered.

One of the gripes I have with this machine is that it is difficult to secure properly to a surface. The clamp does not always do a very good job of holding it in place.

I also find that the feed tray gets in the way, so I never use it. Once, part of the one mechanism got stuck. I have no idea why. It took me a few days to pull the two pieces of the machine apart again. After that, the machine was fine again.

It is also not difficult to clean. You do need to make sure you remove any flour or dough from parts of the machine but that is not particularly tricky or time-consuming.

Also, when turning the handle, rather push it into the machine slightly while turning, otherwise it has a tendency to come out. Read more

I've only used it once but I'm already a big fan. It's straightforward and easy to use and the pasta was delicious!
The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the clamp isn't quite big enough for my kitchen counter which is tricky. The counter is thicker than normal ones but be aware of that when buying a pasta maker. You need a clampable surface to work on.
And I found the knob that adjusts the thickness quite stiff, but I guess that's better than too loose. Read more

Great product, except that the turning handle dislodges easily, would have been great if it had a magnetic hold or similar system to hold it in better. I would love for you to stock the additional attachments as we are keen to try a bit more options than the basics this machine offers.
