Maybe for lighter fabrics, not linen.
Unfortunately, this steamer wasn't powerful enough to remove creases from a linen dress I needed for a wedding. I attempted to return it, and although the manufacturer (Philips) confirmed it was in good condition, Yuppiechef did not accept the return.

Thanks so much for your feedback, and we’re really sorry for the frustration this caused — especially at such an important time. Once the unit was sent to the supplier for inspection, it was confirmed to be faulty, and we’re glad we could arrange a replacement for you. Thank you for your patience while this was resolved, and we hope the new unit performs as it should.

Handy for slightly creased clothes.
I found it handy to remove creases in t-shirts and delicate items. It didn't work too well on heavier material. Saves time as don't need to get the ironing board out for just a few items.
