I have the 4 litre version. I had intended to use it for lettuce but since it's colder at the moment we weren't using it. I decided to use it for strawberries (unwashed) which I had overbought. The strawberries keep really well in this container and I think it's about two weeks now. The surface of the strawberries remained dry and pretty even though I didn't have them in a single layer and excess moisture collected under the basket and some escaped through the vent. Some moisture did bead on the lid opposite the vent but it did not seem to drip back into the container. I would have thought that the lid would snap tightly in place like a lunchbox or something but it simply sits on top of the container for easy removal. I've even stacked other items on the container just making sure that I didn't block the vent. Just wish the charcoal refill packs weren't so expensive! Read more

Better than Tupperware

I cannot believe how long my vegetables keep in this. Even mushrooms lasted about 3 weeks without going slimy!

Amazing!
I was honestly a bit skeptical so only bought one. Bought one of each immediately after once I saw how fresh it keeps my produce. I've had salad leaves in it for 2 weeks and it still looks like I bought it yesterday! And the added bonus of keeping my fridge organized.
A bit pricey, but definitely worth the money.

I love all the fruit available at this time of year, but find some berries, especially raspberries go off quite quickly and one off berry affects the whole punnet. This has definitely extended the life of fruit. I have ordered more containers! It's also nice that they look super stylish in my white kitchen and my fridge is beautifully organised.

I am VERY IMPRESSED with these OXO Greensaver Keepers. I bought all 3 sizes. The 4L one I will probably use the most. Nice size for head of salad, etc. It works excellently well! My fruit and salads are staying fresh for 2 weeks in my fridge and the fridge looks SOOOOO NEAT!!!! It is quite expensive but money well spent. Just remember to buy extra carbon filters while you order. The filters must be replaced every 3 months. Read more

Looks great and perfect for a cheese box. Only negative is the lid doesn’t firmly click on. I have had it for a month and waiting to see what happens after the 3-month greensaver expires. Although it’s quite pricey I would buy one or two more.

I have all the Greensaver Produce Keepers and keep ordering more. They make a huge difference to storing my fresh produce for longer, I store small tomatoes and tomatoes on the vine in the 4.7 produce keeper on the counter top and they keep their flavour and last really well. a bit pricey but worth it as I no longer throw fruit and vegetables away.

These produce keepers are absolutely incredible! In all honesty, I didn't think they would work as promised but - since we never eat our fruit and veg fast enough - I thought we might as well give them a try. I bought one for fruit and one for veg (fruit require the air vent to be open; veg require the air vent to be closed) and have had avocados in the fruit one and tenderstem broccoli in the veg one for over three weeks ... and they're still perfectly fresh! We sautéed tender stem broccoli last night and it looked and tasted as though we'd just bought it. Read more

The Good Grips Greensaver Produce Keeper is an incredible product that has saved me quite a bit in terms of wastage and money in the bin.
I live far from a big town with nice shops and I can only go to the shops every 3-4 weeks.
This product keeps my produce fresh for 2-3 times longer than they normally would have!
It is worth every buck!

I love this product. This is the second green keeper I’ve bought in the range. The bigger/longer one is great for keeping salad leaves and with its size you can add extra items like herbs in the same container. It also fits and stores well in my fridge.

The product is really well-made. It’s sturdy and looks nice. The basket also doubles as a colander for a quick rinse.

As for its intended use... well it does the job? “Keeps food fresher for longer” is relative?
I noticed a 2-3 day max difference between keeping fresh berries (or rosa tomatoes) in this container or in their original store container and putting them in the crisper drawer?

The greens however seem to last much longer.

Things to note:
The lid doesn’t snap shut or click securely into place, and because of where the carbon filter is placed, you have to remove the cover to check if the food item needs to be vented or not?

But all in all, I’m happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend! Read more

This product is really good for keeping salad greens fresh and free of moisture. The large one can hold quite a lot of produce. A pleasure to be able to specifically keep lettuce fresh for so much longer and not to have to toss away packets of produce that go off so quickly.

I purchased two and a few weeks later bought another three! They definitely make a difference with regard to keeping fruit and veggies crisp and fresh.

Helps reduce trips to the grocery store, putting spoilt food in the bin, and my bank account! Happy days :)

There is a serious design flaw with this product which surprised me coming from a company with an excellent pedigree. The lid is a totally loose fit. In fact "fit" is an inaccuracy - the lid drops on. I rummaged through the packaging to see if I had inadvertently discarded a seal that was supposed to fit in the lid to create a fit - nothing.
I then read through some reviews on Amazon and found that I was not alone - this is a common gripe with this product.
I was departing the next day to the bush for a week and decided not to return the item but to tape the lid into position with "duct tape" and all went well. A lettuce head stayed reasonably intact for the week in a cool box.
Sad that an expensive and otherwise well thought out product could have such a cripplingly poor design issue - my two stars may indeed be generous. Read more
