Had to replace the extractor mechanism after 6 months

Okay, so I previously reviewed this product and my review still stands - "It obliterates stuff!". But after using it for about 7 months now, I'm able to better add value with this review. After about 6 months of use, we started to notice the blender getting louder and louder. The noise became so bad that we couldn't run the blender without covering our ears! To Yuppiechef & Nutribullet's credit, they did replace the extractor blade mechanism after we sent it back, and it did solve the problem. What concerns me however, is that this happened after only 6 months, and so begs the question, "Am I going to have to replace the extractor every 6 months at my own cost going forward?" A bit of Googling later, and I discovered that I'm not the only one with the noise problem - from what I've read, it seems it's the bearings. Whether this is planned obsolescence, or simply cost saving, is anyone's guess, but if you're going to buy this and use it everyday, be aware that you may end up with a noisy blender, and if you're out of warranty, you'll be replacing the extractor blade at your own cost. Having said that, if the replacement mechanisms aren't that expensive, it's likely a small price to pay for a great blender. Would I buy it again? I'd perhaps look at alternatives out there, but overall, with a new extractor mechanism, my blender is back to it's obliteration glory, so I'd say, more than likely. Read more

The Nutribullet is easy to use and you can put any combination in the mix and it tastes great. Getting your daily fresh allowance in is no longer a chore. I also find less goes to waste.

We have been making smoothies at least once a day since getting the Nutribullet. I am very surprised that smoothies containing so many veggies actually taste nice. There are lots of recipes to use on the Nutribullet Nutriliving website. Also used the Nutribullet to make pesto and humus.

This is the best blender I've ever bought. So easy to use, just put the ingredients in the cup, screw on the cap, and bobs your uncle. To clean is even easier. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody who's ever looked for a compact blender that packs a punch. This product is for you!

After reading up on this product I took a chance already having the juicer/food processor/blender etc. I didn't want to land up with "another" kitchen gadget that "kind of" did the job. Well this product is simply amazing. Can also be used with ice so your drinks are super cold. It has a powerful motor so everything is well blended (no bits), is compact so does not take up precious counter space, super simple to clean. Worth every cent, a great investment. I love love love my Nutribullet! It makes the most incredible smoothies and is head and shoulders above the blender I had been using previously. For people who regularly make smoothies, I can't recommend this blender highly enough. Would make a great present too and looks fab on the kitchen top. 10/10

Awesome little gaget - sits nicely on my countertop so you get to use it all the time and don't have to haul it out your cupboards to use... have been making yummy smoothies and even making sauces is easy and quick... definitely recommend it :-)

The Nutribullet is truly amazing! Very quick to use, and very easy to clean, so no more excuses to make a healthy smoothie. I make smoothies for my two children, aged 8 and 10 years, in the mornings. I use half baby spinach leaves (but don't let them see!) and add frozen banana and pineapple pieces, as well as frozen berries, which masks the flavour of the spinach beautifully. I also add a bit of hemp seeds, flax seeds, chai seeds, and acai berry powder (bought from most stores which stock health products), as well as a small hand of walnuts, which the Nutribullet chops up and blend in perfectly, and they don't taste it. Add 3 ice cube blocks, and it tastes like a real smoothie. I can really recommend the Nutribullet, you won't be disappointed. Read more

I am a banter. I was making my own nut flours using a coffee grinder. What a schlep! I bought the Nutribullet to grind seeds and nuts. This product meets my expectation and more. Seeing how fast my nuts are turned into flour (that goes through a sieve without any problems whatsoever), I've started using it to make bullet-proof coffee and smoothies. Best gadget that I've bought in ages!

Works perfectly. If it has one downfall though, it would be that the smaller cup is just too small. You can hardly put anything in it and you've reached the max line. Otherwise, this is an awesome blender. I would suggest purchasing the sip lids as well – I love mine.

Easy to set up. Blends as advertised. Super quick and easy to use and clean. It goes with me to work everyday.
Just one problem: Some of the recipes can contain quite a lot of fructose (sugar), so be sure to rinse your teeth with water after having your drink to protect your teeth enamel. Other than that precaution, I think it was worth every cent.

I bought this for myself, but my husband has taken to using it on a daily basis and finds that he can make a quick and filling smoothy for lunch instead of unhealthy fast foods. So instead of taking it to work with me, I have to leave it at home for him. I will have to buy another one!

This is by far the most efficient way to make these drinks, I have tried blenders, food processors, stab blenders, smoothie makers, juice extractors, etc.
None of them work as well and the recipes are great.
Started with the detox blend, we are seeing results in the first couple of days.

I had my Nutribullet delivered to me last Thursday (9 days ago)... and I have used it every single day since then, including the evening I got it. It is so quick and easy to use! I never thought I would get so much use out of it, but the fact that it is quick, easy to use, and easy to clean makes it a remarkable product. It is even small enough for me to easily take to work with me, and I have. Everyone at work thinks I'm nuts drinking fruits and vegetables, but I cannot think of a better way of getting my nutrients. I make 2 shakes a day. It is also great for mixing my protein shakes for post-workouts as there are no clumps as if I was using a shaker.
I would recommend this product to any and everyone!!! I have already got my money's worth out of it. I have gone from maybe having one or two fruits/vegetables a day to having between 8-10 a day! I can feel a massive energy difference and my skin is looking a whole lot better, and the amazing recipes are great for the hot, humid summer nights we're facing. No need to cook a heavy meal. I am super impressed! We are blessed enough to grow a lot of our own produce and it makes for fabulous smoothies! Some strawberries, walnuts and basil with black pepper and ginger, mmmmm... Apples, almonds, cinnamon and maca. This bullet makes making smoothies fun and the possibilities are endless. It's really no hassle to clean and takes up very little space. Being healthy is such a blast!

I have had my Nurtibullet for approx 3 weeks now, and must say it is AMAzing! I literally Blast myself a Green Drink everyday on my way out the door. Not only is it quick, I love the fact that it has a lid, which makes transporting it simple. The clean up is so simple. This is a must have. Who said you can't eat healthy on the run? :)

I have had my Nutribullet for exactly four days. I gulped at the price initially, but went for it anyway. It is probably the best thing I ever did. I already feel better. Meals take literally seconds to make. Washing up is a case of swishing the used bits clean. I swish them in water first so that I can put the water into my worm farm, along with the left over fruit and veg. The absolute best is that I detect the start of a reduced waistline. My favourite smoothie is 50% leafy greens, loads of cucumber, loads of celery and some fruit. And I feel full until the next meal. A really great product. Read more

I really enjoy my Nutribullet - it is SUPER powerful! However I do feel that it is a bit inconvenient at times as it ALWAYS requires liquid to be present, unless you are using the milling blade to make flours etc. They said I should be able to make nut butters with it, but I have yet to be successful there... Pretty easy to clean up, makes a mean smoothie in no time.

Milkshakes improve your life. It follows that machines that make milkshakes are extremely good for you. These Nutribullets are powerful and hugely versatile, leading you straight to epic iced coffees, mind-altering milkshakes, fruity smoothies and limitless happiness!

Along with some delicious concoctions involving tinned caramel, bananas and iced milk, it would be remiss of me not to mention my favourite recipe: a double shot of espresso, 2 cups of chilled milk, a handful of ice, a splash of vanilla essence and a shake or two of caramel sugar. Carelessly dropping a few large spoons of vanilla ice-cream has never hurt either! Read more

I love it! It went into action the very next day, and improbable as it may sound, I already started to feel the benefits in a few days. It's amazing too how easy it is to wash. (Is this some new type of non-stick plastic?). We are only on the Stage 1 Detox smoothie, but what I would say to people who plan to use this recipe is to buy tiny apples and pears because there is absolutely no way you can fit in everything that's listed there. I have used this everyday since I purchased it. This device is very easy to use and very quick to clean. We also have a smoothie machine but now prefer the Nutribullet since it can easily crunch up seeds and nuts so that they are smooth. Also whole clementines, carrots, ginger. I have used organic kale, as the green component, pawpaw including the seeds, apples, grapes, berries and almonds makes a great starter to the day. The possibilities are endless. Great and quick way to blend veggies and fruit, just top up with water and it creates a delicious drink. The only thing I would note it that some of the printed material inside the box was missing information on the cleaning of equipment. Text had dropped off!

A high speed blender that does the job. The smoothies are wonderfully creamy, the cleaning up afterwards absurdly easy and quick. I was particularly needing a blender that also milled seeds very well, and this blender fits the bill perfectly. With nuts it very quickly tries to produce nut butter, which makes for some tricky managing if one is only wanting a nut flour.

LOVE this machine. Firstly, so compact. Easily fits into cupboard. Smart design, with the detachable blades leaving the machine itself squeeky clean every time. Easy to clean. And best of all... the smoothies are super yummy! The high speed leaves the drinks extra smooth. The recipe book gives awesome guidance and the website has over 500 additional recipes. And lastly, perhaps one of the best features is that you can buy the parts separately on Yuppiechef!!! Wahoooo. No need to replace entire machine.

Scooped the Nutribullet on sale a couple of weeks ago and haven't gone a day without making a Nutriblast or two! Great way to reap all the benefits of your fruits and veg. I make a breakfast Nutriblast in under a minute on my way to work. I also make one at night to help me wind down and sleep.
It's easier to clean than my blender. It also breaks down the fruits and veggies more than the blender. Can't wait to make my own almond butter, milled oats etc! A great buy for any home :) Read more

Spinach has never tasted this good! Assembling and operating the device is quick and easy and you have a delicious, nutritious snack in no time. If you have a good blender I would say it is unnecessary to get the Nutribullet as it does pretty much the same job.

Totally in love with my Nutribullet... Breakfasts are now a breeze so although I have lowered the fruit intake since starting with it a week ago because too much fruit isn't actually good, I have now managed to increase our fibre and protein intake extensively but just throwing it all in ;-)
4 Smoothies on the run every morning and the family is sorted and those sugar filled cereals are a thing of the past with my 10yr old - I could do with an extra cup but we manage just fine.

Chucked out my old blender and opted for this one as it is super fast! I get up really early and with my old blender it simply takes to long and I end up waking everyone at 5am. A 10 sec blitz with this is all you need.

I received my Nutribullet Electric Blue yesterday and I went to bed two hours later than usual because I couldn't stop playing with it. I've only used my new NutriBullet a couple of times but it is compact, lightweight, easy to clean and super efficient at pulverising fruit and veggies. I can't seem to get rid of some of the "pulp" (spinach, celery) but counter that by adding lots of iced water to the thick smoothie until it's the right consistency for me. I can highly recommend this product - the extra cost compared to a regular juicer / extractor is well worth it. Read more

I am finally enjoying smoothies again. I became so tired of pieces of fruit and nuts my blender left behind, that smoothies were no longer a pleasure. But the Nutribullet takes care of it so fast it`s unbelievable. I drink two Nutriblasts a day and it`s amazing how your energy increases after just a week. It`s by far the best gift i ever bought for myself.

I have always used a normal jug blender for making smoothies, but after using the older baby brother to the Nutribullet, the Magic Bullet, while on holiday in the U.S. I ordered one while sitting in Terminal 5 waiting for my next flight.

I was very pleasantly surprised when the Nutribullet arrived as I thought it would be the same as the older Magic Bullet at 250W, but no the Nutribullet is a stonking 600W! (That'll teach me to read the description properly.) This baby eats anything you throw at it!

Quieter than my old jug blender, it's a blessing in the mornings as I can make a smoothie without waking everyone in the house.

The pictures are deceiving though as it is bigger than it looks, mainly for the larger motor in the base and the biggest cup capacity at 710ml. However, the base is still small enough to fit comfortably on your kitchen counter, and the feet have slight indents almost like a suction cup which keeps it nice and stable.

The motor is well balanced and doesn't cause excess vibration. The outer casing is brushed steel and looks fantastic in blue. Attention to detail is evident in all areas, the connection between the blade base that slots into the motor "propeller" (for want of a better word) to drive the blade is made of very heavy duty rubber. Over time this is going to be worth it's weight in gold as the stress carried from the motor to the blade is going to be heavily dampened by the rubber, protecting the surfaces from micro-fractures, which means increased longevity.

Cup-wise, I almost took a star off as there is no small cup to use with the milling blade, which means trying to grind spices is a exercise in patience as the spices get flung to the top of the cup, unlike a small cup that keeps everything close to the spinning blade.

However, everything else is so damn good it's a minor con on a huge list of pros.

Don't let the advertising fool you, your imagination is your limit when it comes to what you can do with it! I've already used it to make cocktails as well as sauces (the power of the motor is great for emulsifying different ingredients) and even making smooth sauces to inject into roasts. Whole grain mustard, honey, garlic and fresh rosemary injected into a pork roast, yummy!

All I can say to finish off is that if you don't have a Nutribullet you need to go buy one now.

We're loving the Nutribullet - my only complaint is that I'd like to be able to make a bigger mix in one go - but other than that, delicious, works like a bomb and has changed our breakfasts and desserts. Try frozen banana chunks with papaya and coconut cream for starters, the only limitation is your imagination. I have been dreaming about owning one of these... but have put myself on an appliance "diet" as part of decluttering my life and my home. When I received a voucher in my birthday month it was definitely a sign. So I am now a proud owner. I find smoothies a bit easier to digest than juice, more filling and with more options such as adding protein powder, seeds or supplements. I also find smoothies are keeping me full for longer. A big plus of the bullet is that you don't make too much, something that used to happen to me often with my larger liquidiser.
