Sadly my Mellerware stick blender has had to be sent back as it never worked very well from the minute I received it. It broke the other day and I sent it to be repaired through Yuppiechef. Due to not having bought the extended warranty they now want payment for the repair. Sadly a very substandard product with less than fair aftersales service.

I would not recommend this product to a friend.

The first time I used the whisk, it was faulty already. I exchanged it for a new one. Used it now for a few months, and now the stick-blender is faulty.

I think the problem is the plastic gears and components - it gets hot and then it strips.

Thus, I am going to send this one back also and look for another stick blender.

I bought this product as a gift for my son and daughter-in-law.

On the first use, the product got so hot that we couldn't touch it, so we switched it off. When we went to use it again the next day the parts being used melted.

I am hoping that this was just a faulty one.

This product stopped working the 2nd time I used it. I have been too busy to return it and now I have to pay R300 extra for a repair.

I have not managed to use all the features yet, but so far I am extremely happy with this purchase. I was concerned that the (mini) manual says only use for 15 sec at a time with a 1 min rest period, but I have blended soup and whipped cream without any issues. I've also used the food processor bowl with the blade attachment and it worked perfectly. Great value for money!

After years of being a Kenwood fan, I decided to try this Mellerware version since it has a higher wattage.

I'm very impressed, this is real value for money.

We had the blender for about 2 months before the jug broke, after using it very little, with very normal use cases. The clips on the lid also became loose and we had to physically hold the blender closed when using it or it would shake around. It also became difficult to even switch on because the lid just never went on properly and I would have to keep taking it off and putting it back until the parts lined up correctly — just annoying. We sent it back to the supplier and it was returned with a foul smell, which was quite off putting. Overall the blender was nice at first but very quickly became annoying, being difficult to clean and breaking apart way too easily. Read more
