Great thermometer for measuring temperatures in unreliable ovens! And I like the different placement options. Only negative is that it can't be submerged in water to clean.

I'm a baker and the oven I've been using was taking longer to bake my bread than usual. I knew the temp was off. I ordered this Master Class thermometer but couldn't wait to try it out. Came to find out my oven was 10 degrees off. The thermometer was spot on and I'm so happy I now can bake without worrying about the time and temp.

Yes I am completely satisfied with my product, my baking has also improved 100% as I now have a very accurate oven temperature which I can view right through my baking process.

Since using this thermometer, I have realised that my oven under-heats. No wonder things didn't bake properly in the time/temp of the recipe. Now I know that my oven is 10 - 15 degrees cooler than it should be. Good product, easy to read.

This thermometer is proving very useful as my oven dial is lose and the technician is no where to be found. This gives me the confidence that I am baking at the right temperature. It's also very easy to read through the oven door.

I have a gas stove with no temperature indicator and have found this to be invaluable. It sits permanently on my oven rack and is big enough to be easily viewed through the door. Would not hesitate to highly recommend it.

I have bought a new oven which has a vague temperature indicator as it is graduated in 50 degree increments with no lines in between to show the exact temperature - so this item is invaluable. You can see it through the oven door and it shows what the exact temperature your oven is on. The celsius temperatures are on the outside and in a larger font than the fahrenheit, which is ideal. I am very glad I bought this and it is worth every cent. Read more

I use a gas stove that does not come with a thermometer as standard, so a good quality thermometer is absolutely essential and this must rate as one of the best on the market.

I feel a bit mean writing this review, because I can't really say if this thermometer does its job well or not. I bought it to check if my older oven thermometer was still accurate, and this one consistently reads 20 degrees higher than my old one, so which one is correct? Any suggestions as to how one can find out? That aside, this thermometer looks good, and is easy to read, and I like the lip with which to hang it on an oven rack. Read more

I am so glad I bought this product. It is rare to find an oven thermometer that shows celsius first over fahrenheit. It also has a large, very easy to read dial. Altogether a great buy.

My gas oven has been under reading on temperature since new - fine for 'cooking' food, but not for baking. Now I can bake cakes et al for correct period of time at correct temperature & they turn out as they should. Easier & more cost effective 'fix' than having to replace thermostat which would not necessarily have been any more accurate!

I like having both the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales, and the face is easy to read for me. It is sensitive and I trust it is accurate. I also like the 5-year warranty.

We knew our oven was hotter than it should be when previously successful cakes came out flat and scorched. I tested the oven as soon as I received the thermometer and found our oven is about 30 degrees warmer. Such a great buy! I will now always make use of it even in other ovens. It is a great check especially if you are a baker.

So pleased I invested in this - I knew my oven thermostat was inaccurate - and have now discovered that it's out by as much as 20 degrees! Baking results hugely improved as a result - and the thermometer is sturdy and easy to use.

Having installed a new oven recently, and not ever having had an oven from this brand before, I was very disappointed at the baking results. Don't get me wrong I have been baking for 50 years. After phoning their call centre and receiving unhelpful advice, embarked on doing research into an oven thermometer, one that was recommended, has great reviews and lastly suited my budget. I researched Yuppiechef and found this amazing product, the Master Class Deluxe Oven Thermometer, and yes my suspicions were confirmed my oven temperature differs by 10 degrees to my Thermometer. I roasted a leg of lamb for a dinner party the day after I purchased the Master Class Thermometer, to absolute perfection. I have had problems with my baking, cakes rising and then falling flat in the middle and even after renewing the oven seals there was no change. After purchasing this product, it showed me that my oven was 10 degrees out, and now I bake perfectly risen cake again. I am really very happy.

Very handy gadget! Found out that my oven was in fact 30 deg C higher than it should have been. Now that I know this I have stopped burning things! It is now left in my oven constantly so I know that the temperature is correct for what I am cooking.

Inaccurate after a few months

Was great to start with but didn’t last long. Within a few months it was inaccurate and could not be trusted. I don’t know if there’s a better quality one out there somewhere or if these things need to be replaced regularly.....

Your oven has been lying to you. Or at least mine has. For years. Now that I know the truth I can bake bread with confidence. It wasn't me all along... It was my crappy oven.

Does what it says it will and an absolute MUST for any avid baker. Oven temperature accuracy is everything and this thermometer is spot on. Such good value for money and the dial is light and easy to read from outside the oven.

The oven thermometer works wonderfully. I knew my oven thermostat was out and was getting inconsistent results before using the thermometer. I now use this for everything that goes into the oven and can see that my baked goods are more in line with what the recipes describe.

The thermometer is really slow to indicate the temp. it takes about 30 minutes to reach it's recorded temperature, which is out by more than 10 % and about 15%
This means I have to wait 30 minutes before making a further adjustment / correction
I have tried it in 2x different ovens and in both cases it under reads in excess of 10 %.
I had expected it to be as accurate as a weather thermometer and responsive.
