MagicVac Universal Vacuum Lid for Tins & Jars

Due to differences with Foodsaver vacuum hoses these lids work best with MagicVac machines (but can work if you insert firmly enough). If you have the MagicVac machines this works really well of course.

I own both large and small lids.

The small lids fit the Mason (Consol) jars all sizes.

The large size fits jars up to 12cm wide.

The jars should ideally have a decent thickness as a guide, the local Consol jars, too thin and the vacuum is not assured to hold.

I found some short and wide jars for R19 in a local store that take the large lids. They are just perfect for me, being wide enough to get my hand in completely and store any manner of food like berry fruits, ground coffee, tea bags, biscuits, cheeses, etc.

We purchased this product for sealing jars. It does not do this so will be returning it.

Once too often the vacuum has been lost when opening the container, or my own glass jar using the universal lid. Hopefully, this was a temporary glitch.
