Love Gin Homemade Gin Kit

We bought this kit for a friend as a birthday present, and he had such a lot of fun making his first batch. He is now playing with different combinations and still having fun.

Made my first Gin last weekend. I think this is an amazing product. The fact that you can create your own Gin and give it to a friend as a personalised gift!! Nothing better! Shhhh, Gin number two will be ready tomorrow in time for the Zebula weekend.... Eeekkkk

All this kit is for is making flavoured vodka. I bought it on a gin whim and deeply regret it. The bottles and funnel are good quality, but are certainly not worth the price of the kit. Rather save yourself the disappointment and spend the money instead on a lovely bottle of gin from a local distillery.

This product is amazing. Nevermind the great quality, the Yuppiechef staff was absolutely amazing. This was a birthday gift and they made sure that it arrived on time. Big thank you!!

Absolute waste of money. Definitely not worth the price. I'd rather have bought a decent bottle of gin instead of this nonsense.

A great idea, but I must add that it is rather expensive and over-priced for what you get. A few more tins of botanicals could have been added. I would only recommend it if more additions are made to the kit. I’ve made my first batch and will taste it shortly. Like someone said, I bought this on a gin-whim ....😉 cheers

Easy to make with the instructions provided. Everyone who has tasted it, likes it a lot.
It is a bit pricey though...
I love the 500ml bottles with cork stoppers.

It was a birthday present for a friend. I was quite embarrassed when he opened the gift in front of our friends. I really do not think it was worth the price.

Bought this for my husband as a gift. While he was investigating the various items just after opening the box, one of the items broke.
It's disappointing to gift someone and even before they can use it the product comes across as cheap.

I was given this kit for Christmas and am now on my second round of gin-making. The kit is great, very simple to use with everything you need (apart from the vodka obviously). I am now making more bottles of gin as gifts and it is a lot of fun.

But the Botanical blend makes it taste like medicine — I would advise to rather put your own flavours to the mix.

For the price of R549.00, you are now the proud owner of two bottles, a filter funnel and small tins of juniper berries and herbs. We bought this as a gift and were so embarrassed to discover the alcohol kit is missing it's main ingredient... alcohol. And so we had to go out and try find unflavored drinking alcohol, not an easy feat. Not sure what the point of this kit is... Maybe rather just go out and buy some juniper berries or herbs of your choice instead. Read more

I am a gin lover and bought this with great expectation. What a disappointment. I received, 2 empty gin bottles, a funnel and some botanicals. What now? No instructions...... It now lives at the top of the cupboard with the other "duds" I bought online.
