About LK's
LK’s began in 1989 when Lourens Kriel came home with a braai tong and decided there and then that he could produce one at half the price. Jumping to work the next day with his son, Johan Kriel, they manufactured the tooling first and then their own tong and tested it the same evening. From a garage to a Wendy house and now a factory in Blackheath, LK’s continues to produce high quality, local products for practical and inventive cooking solutions for an all-round enjoyable braai experience.

Care Instructions
Follow these steps to ensure your cookware stays clean and increasingly seasoned:
- Allow cookware to cool enough to handle, but still quite warm
- Hand wash with hot water & salt or mild soap
- Use a towel to dry thoroughly (important!)
- Rub a thin layer of oil inside the cookware & on the rim (Palm, Flaxseed, Coconut, Canola or other)
- Place on a stove (or in an oven) & heat up until lightly smoking
- Turn off the heat. Carefully use a paper towel to wipe off excess oil (this avoids a sticky surface)
- Once completely cool, store in a cool, dry place
How to restore cast iron
- If there is rust or gunk, first scrub the whole cookware with a steel wool sponge
- Using a scouring pad, wash with soap & hot water
- Use a towel to dry thoroughly (important!)
- Place on a hot stove (or in an oven) to completely evaporate any excess moisture
- Rub a thin layer of oil all over the cookware, inside & outside (Palm, Flaxseed, Coconut, Canola or other)
- Once the oil is rubbed in thoroughly, use a clean paper towel to wipe off excess oil (this avoids stickiness)
- Place cookware in an oven at 230°C to 260°C and bake for 1 hour
- Depending on the type of oil you use, it can get quite smokey
- Allow to cool completely & store in cool, dry place
Customer Reviews & Ratings
Poor quality
I must be honest I am rather unhappy with the handle of this product. It’s loose and feels like it’s going to come apart any second. I have not cooked with it and would prefer to rather return it and purchase a better quality item. The old saying comes to mind about, “you get what you pay for”.
I prefer not to murmur and but you asked and I have to give my honest opinion on Read more

The joy of cooking on an open fire
This pan offers exceptional value for money! I fried some veggies in it by putting this pan straight onto the coals we used for braai-ing some steak. This pan really delivers in terms of taste and efficiency. In addition, it's great to be able to cook an entire meal around the fire instead of spending half the time cooking in the kitchen.

Would not recommend this product.
I bought this product because I love cast iron pots and pans but this one seems to be very low quality.
Firstly the handle is loose, secondly, the pan has one been used a few times and it's started rusting already.
The pan is almost brown from the rust.

Perfect cast iron pan to own as a beginner
Cast iron pans seemed like a very daunting utensil to own, but this is extremely easy to maintain and brings out great flavours. Love that the handle is wooden and easy to manoeuvre with.
I would recommend this product to a friend.
