It's a must for the frying pan. Don't know why it just doesn't come with lid. It's good that it is sold separately in case you break your lid.

A lid is a lid... there's not much to it! This one is well-made though and is also a fantastic size (it's impossible to find lids this size for bigger pots and pans).

Although I'm not using it for a Le Creuset pan it fits well. Its handle is lovely and sturdy and doesn't warm up quickly but being metal it will eventually heat up. And it looks great. Would buy again.

I have a number of Le Creuset pots and tried using other lids on hand which turned out to be unwise on a gas stove where condensation dripped off the lid.

No lid and it meant that I couldn’t poach my eggs for shakshuka properly with the tops raw and the bottoms overcooked. I am overjoyed with my lid, improves uniform cooking and minimises excited elements escaping my pan.
