Care Instructions
- Don't submerge or soak in water
- Don't put in a dishwasher
- Wipe only with a damp cloth, as the extremes of heat or moisture will damage the wood
Laid Back Co recommends oiling with olive oil regularly to help protect the oak, but please note that this will darken the colour and appearance of the oak. Other food safe oils, like linseed oil, would also be okay to use. When using oils on trays or items sitting on table- or countertops, be sure they are dry and excess oil is absorbed before placing back down.

Buy it for life!
Beautiful product. I'm certain that with the right and proper care this will be a workhorse for life. Reserving one star due to a fine 'splintering' texture to the surface, i.e. not a smooth finish. Will contact the manufacturer for more detailed care instructions and will revise this review should it be remedied.

Great but splinters.
I'm puzzled about the intended purpose of this product. It looks great, feels great, smells great and works well. The first time I gave it a light wipe with liquid paraffin as per the guide and when wiping it off with a wet cloth after use —fine splinters up to 5mm just stood up and feels awful on the hand. Being raw unsealed oak this is understandable.
