First, heat the water in the bottom pot to boiling point so that enough steam is created to heat the top pot. Thanks to the glass lid, you can easily monitor your sauces. Worked well
I have only used it once and it was to melt beeswax in it, so nothing complicated and it worked very well for that. Giving it 4 stars because it would have been nice if the top pot could stand on its own. It is slightly unbalanced so it tipped over a few times on the kitchen sink which inherently has a slight slope.
I would recommend this product to a friend.
