This jar is beautiful and sleek. I bought this with the hope of using it to store my sourdough starter. However, the glass is quite weak, especially at the base from my experience. The bottom broke with just a little tap of my spoon while mixing my starter.

Pretty — but very thin glass.

It looks really pretty. I'm storing things like split peas, soup mix, etc. — I had a similar experience to Nicole. My husband put the lid back on — and one of the split peas fell underneath the jar and the glass broke.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
