Not durable.
This jar is beautiful and sleek. I bought this with the hope of using it to store my sourdough starter. However, the glass is quite weak, especially at the base from my experience. The bottom broke with just a little tap of my spoon while mixing my starter. Yuppiechef has been kind enough to send me a voucher and they did say that it should be used for storage only. I love these jars.
I'm using this jar for my coffee beans and it looks so good on my counter top. I accidentally broke my last one and couldn't wait to replace it. I love it!

Pretty — but very thin glass.
It looks really pretty. I'm storing things like split peas, soup mix, etc. — I had a similar experience to Nicole. My husband put the lid back on — and one of the split peas fell underneath the jar and the glass broke.
