I have bought two sets of these whiskey stones, one for my husband and one for a friend. They are packaged really well and are very useful - I even use them in my wine!
The Humble and Mash set was also the best value I could find, online or in retail stores. Highly recommended

It’s difficult to buy a gift that will appeal to a 90 year old man but the ‘stones’ came attractively packaged and looks a great gift - I am hopeful.

I bought these as a gift for my husband. He loved them when he opened it, really nice packaging. But he doesn’t really use them as they don’t chill the drink as much as you’d want to – even if it’s just a tot of whiskey.

They absolutely did nothing for the drinks. Ended up using ice cubes. My expectations were not met at all. They look pretty in a glass though.

A beautiful set of whiskey stones that look very nice in the glass. Comes in a very well done package, and a small bag to keep them in when in the freezer.

It's worth remembering though that these will never cool your drink as much as ice will (no phase transition), so your whiskey will only be a few degrees cooler. However, in a South African summer, that can make the difference; all while not diluting your drink. Read more

I bought these for my father who's an avid whiskey drinker. Unfortunately, he said it didn't keep his whiskey as cold as required. Perhaps there is a certain temperature that they work best at.

The idea behind this product is good 👌
It's not very effective at keeping the drink cool.
Come to think of it, a diluted drink is not always a bad thing.

These stones do not keep your whiskey cold or even make it cold, even with all nine blocks inside. Normal ice worked much better, very disappointed.

In theory, the idea is great but they don't work well as a substitute for ice as I was hoping - they may work for drinks with minimal liquid like whiskey as I guess it indicates in the description but they definitely don't work sufficiently for anything else.

They also warm up quite quickly and take a while to cool down again.

I received a set a few years ago as a present. A nice idea but they don't actually keep your drinks cold.

Scientifically speaking, there are no convection flows to circulate the coldness of the stones as you would get with ice. If they could float then they *might* work.

I bought the whiskey stones for a dear friend's birthday who loves his whiskey. He raved about the undiluted taste he enjoyed and how his guests would also enjoy the look of the stones in their drink.

He gave it a big bravo, he has passed on now.

I purchased several of these as stocking fillers for friends who love whisky. The stones are packaged in a beautiful velvety drawstring bag which is placed inside of a neat box. It looks great in a glass and stays nice and cold. Form + function = 5 stars!
