c) Steam Sterilization Method

  • Position the glass jars, lids, and bands on the steamer basket or colander, making sure there is enough space between them
  • Cover the pot and bring the water to a boil. Let it steam for 15 to 20 minutes
  • Carefully remove the sterilized jars and let them cool on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels

Step 4 - Lid and Band Preparation: 

While the jars are sterilizing, prepare the lids and bands. Place them in a small pot, cover them with water, and bring the water to a simmer. Keep them simmering until you're ready to use them. This process ensures the rubber seal on the lids remains pliable and creates a proper seal when preserving.

Step 5 - Filling the Jars:
