- Butter dish is dishwasher safe, lid must be washed by hand
- Oak can be cleaned with detergent and a soft brush or sponge

- If the wood feels rough with time, it is recommended you sand down the dry surface using very fine sandpaper, and then oil the wood to protect it
- For oiling, you can use any vegetable oil, just ensure that it is clean oil and not coloured or infused with anything. The oil you use must be food safe

Very handsome and useful butter dish.
This is a very smart butter dish. The stoneware keeps the butter cool so I keep it out of the fridge mostly and the butter is nice and spreadable.
I thought it would be larger but it's very handsome and sturdy and have used it every day since the purchase.
