  • History: Popular heirloom lettuce from Siberian Russia, over 100 years old
  • Features: Cold hardy, heat tolerant, slow bolting, with 20cm-wide heads and crisp leaves
  • Appearance: Oakleaf-style green leaves with a bronze tint
  • Benefits: Rich in vitamins E, K, A, C, and potassium, fibre, and iron
  • Taste: Crispy and tender
• Forellenschluss Romaine Lettuce:
  • History: Old Austrian heirloom traced back to 1793, named for its trout-like speckles
  • Features: Deep red speckles, crispy leaves, thick midribs, quick growth in cold weather
  • Use: Adds exotic flair to salads, bolts easily in heat, plant in a cool spot
  • Taste: Crispy and exotic
• Red Streaked Wild Rocket (Arugula):

In 2013, Vanessa Jacobs set out to find the simplest way to grow a garden fit for a foodie, giving people the opportunity to proudly plant a garden that is Sow Delicious! She came up with the idea for the ‘Slab of Seed’ which might look like a slab of chocolate, but is made from a special blend of organically enriched super-soil and infused with rare heirloom seed – the purest & oldest seed on earth which is also non-GMO.
