Large 3.5 litre capacity

Use Maxtra replacement filters only
Includes one Maxtra replacement filter
Built in manual 'Calendar' dial to set date for cartridge exchange
BPA free

As tap water is low in carbonate hardness in South Africa the replacement cartridge will filter water optimally for up to 300 litres, the average home therefore needing it for around 2 months. If usage is less than this, we recommend that the filter is replaced at least every 3 months.

A little tight when new so be careful putting together and taking apart but soon loosens up. Works very well. Quality water. I only drink water from this now.

It does everything I expected it to you, and I'm really happy with how much water I can fit into it. It's WAY bigger than my last filter jug.

The position of the little door on the top, through which to fill the water, though, IS a bit awkward. The tap won't reach it unless I turn the jug on its side. It'd have been nice to slide the jug straight in between the two sinks.

Great item, only snag: it does not fit into a refrigerator (definitely not the door, it's too broad) - but apparently keeping it refrigerated creates a different taste in the water.

I got sick and tired of so many empty water bottles and refilling my 5l water bottles... now I can just keep filling up this bad boy and there's no clutter or waste. Yes, it's chunky but for me no less so than a 5l plastic water bottle I was keeping in my fridge anyway. It really does make the water taste lovely, a little rose geranium note to it I think... love it.

We drink a lot of water — and it tastes better filtered. Just note that this size jug is too big to fit easily in the fridge, if that is what you are looking for.

I'm using the Brita Jug filter since last year and found it an amazing product. The tap water is not much polluted with heavy contaminants in my area but still, I'm curious to use the filter for drinking water.

There is a very low cost of changing cartridges, which I love the most :)

The jug does not fit in the door of my fridge (Whoops) but works brilliantly. The filtering process takes about 2 minutes at most and the water does not have a chemical taste, it tastes like clean water, as water should. The electronic gauge works well too, and is a nice way to monitor when to change the filter.
