As tap water is low in carbonate hardness in South Africa the replacement cartridge will filter water optimally for up to 300 litres, the average home therefore needing it for around 2 months. If usage is less than this, we recommend that the filter is replaced at least every 3 months.

Easy to Use Brita Water Filter
The jug does not fit in the door of my fridge (Whoops) but works brilliantly. The filtering process takes about 2 minutes at most and the water does not have a chemical taste, it tastes like clean water, as water should. The electronic gauge works well too, and is a nice way to monitor when to change the filter.

Amazing product, loving it!
I'm using the Brita Jug filter since last year and found it an amazing product. The tap water is not much polluted with heavy contaminants in my area but still, I'm curious to use the filter for drinking water. There is a very low cost of changing cartridges, which I love the most :)

Better tasting water
We drink a lot of water — and it tastes better filtered. Just note that this size jug is too big to fit easily in the fridge, if that is what you are looking for.
