Elegant design and functional

It took 3 attempts to get a pot that was not scratched, dented or with misaligned screw thread between the top and bottom parts. To their great credit the Yuppiechef team took the returns and hunted for a perfectly finished pot. The one I accepted finally was made in India and had different packaging from the first two, leading me to suspect it was made in a different factory. Its finish was better and the material seemed more robust. I am left with doubts about Bialetti factory quality control of the Venus, however.
The pot functions well and makes good foamy expresso in the quantities I want. I think the lid and handle are not particularly robust and need careful treatment. I would advise anyone buying this pot to have a very good look at finish and alignment on receipt. Read more

Coffee tastes great. The 10 cup espresso gives me 2 mugs (500ml) of standard coffee. Works super fast (2.5 min) on induction cooker and takes 5 min on gas. So making good coffee without electricity is possible.

The Espresso maker is beautifully designed, easy to use, easy to clean, makes fabulous coffee. I use it on my induction cooker which is an additional plus. Just one note for buyers - it makes 4 tiny espresso cups which is about one normal mug, so if you want lots of coffee, get the bigger one. But this one is perfect for me.

This is my 2nd Bialetti - I have had many coffee machines but none bring out the pure flavour of percolated coffee like this.
However, when buying be careful to select correct size. Bialetti' s are ESPRESSO makers and therefore number of cups are for Espresso cups e.g. the 10 cup Bialetti makes only 3 mugs of coffee.

The unit works well, but the cup rating is quite misleading. I know espresso cups are small, but did they use thimbles to measure the capacity of this unit?
Had I known, I would have opted for a larger unit.

An excellent stovetop espresso maker. But as other reviewers have noted, it is smaller than you might imagine, and only really suited for one smallish cup of coffee, or two espressos. It suits my purposes perfectly, but if in doubt, go for the 4 cup option (or larger).

I'm so pleased I finally got this coffee maker. I've had an aluminium 6-cup one for years which leaked.
It's a pleasure to pour from this beautifully made pot.
I don't use it for espresso, so the 10-cup is easily enough for two generous cups of coffee.
I would recommend using it on a very low heat at first and then turn it up — otherwise I find the coffee starts coming through almost immediately and it's very weak. I'm also perplexed as to why it keeps bubbling endlessly (tiny dribbles keep spurting out), and when I clean the pot there is always a little water at the bottom. Read more

Works ok, but coffee is a bit weaker than my older unit. Also the pressure valve leaks on one unit. Other one is ok. I will try to tighten it and see if that works......

Hi There,
I very much like my new coffee maker and have already made several delicious cups with it. My only crit would be that is does not quite make 2-cups. I know it is supposed to make 2 espresso coffees, but technically it does not do this. The amount in terms of millilitres of liquid perhaps yes, but the strength of the coffee is not of an espresso standard. The only way I have got it to come close to the desired espresso strength is to compact the coffee in the filter funnel so that it fits more coffee/increases the pressure and makes a stronger coffee. I have used the bigger pots of this variety and the strength of the coffee is fine, without and compaction of the coffee grounds. Other than this it works great. Read more

Fantastic coffee maker. Perfect for 2 cups of really great smooth coffee in a few minutes. Easy to clean and use. I really like the stainless steel finish - much better than the aluminum counterparts.

This really is an excellent little stovetop coffee pot and makes great syrupy coffee. The only downside, as others have mentioned, is that the volume it produces isn't quite enough for two cups of coffee. The 4 cup would be better suited to making two strong cups of coffee.

Our 10-year-old coffee machine died and I did not want to replace it with something complicated. The Bialetti makes delicious coffee quickly and easily. The "6 cups" refers to 6 small espressos, which we share between two people and top up with water for a longer drink.
It's been a great addition to our kitchen!

I was hesitant to buy the "new shape" pot, as my traditional hex shaped pot brewed the perfect cuppa. However, we had converted to induction, so stainless steel was the only way to go. I was pleasantly surprised. The perfect brew in a fraction of the time. I am very happy with my purchase!

This moka pot makes wonderful, full-bodied espressi. The pressure and temperature of the pot are perfect - just as Bialetti intended. It's also a really stylish addition to our kitchen!

This is an awesome looking pot, is easy to use and works brilliantly. If you're using it to make normal cups of coffee as opposed to espressos, it makes about 2-3 largish cups.

Bailetti coffee kettles are good value for money. These kettles are sturdy, last for a long time and are easy to clean.
This size is REALLY just for one cup of coffee. A slightly bigger compartment for a bit more coffee ground, so that it can make 2 cups, would have been nice, as the next size kettle is for 4 cups. But if you are a single person, then you rather want a fresh cup every time you make coffee. We bought this as a gift for a single person and she is enjoying it a great deal. Read more

I've owned the Bialetti Brikka 2 cup for 2 years — loved it — until I destroyed it by putting it in the dishwasher.
So I decided to try a stainless steel product that can be placed in the dish washer.
Unfortunately, the Venus doesn't brew as strong as the Brikka as it uses less coffee grinds compared to the Brikka 3 cup. The Venus works on induction and is more resilient but the Brikka has character which translates to great coffee. Read more

First time using one of these but after one attempt, sorted (needed to tighten valve a bit). Perfect for us... this size makes two mugs full enough for cappuccino. Glad we chose bigger. Also, the stainless steel version is difficult to find so very, very happy!

These coffee pots are really awesome. If you've owned one of the older aluminium versions of these and enjoyed it, then this one is for you. It's an upgrade on the older model which works flawlessly (no leaking, spitting out of the sides, etc). Highly recommended!

Very good quality - exactly what I expected.
Make sure you check the cup size since the cups are quoted for espresso small.
I checked the size and bought the largest one, and 600ml of coffee is great for my use.
Delivery was prompt, and very well packaged - not only a good product but good service too.

I think the one I received is the "new" Venus because the lid is different to the picture. it is heavy and sturdy. I only used it twice (once in the dark), but the coffee was delicious.
I hope the lid is stronger than it looks. Very happy so far.

I was forced to replace my ageing model after it failed to make a good cup of coffee. Realising that it might not be the model's fault and that it might be the tools she is using, I bought this bright shiny new Bialetti for her to work with.
The Bialetti has solved the coffee quality problem (superb) but has done bugger all about the nagging and other irritations in my life.
Disappointed.

Definitely does not perform as well as the aluminium versions in the Bialetti range. They are much better with regards to brewing quality and performance.
