WOW! How did I ever manage to get this far in the kitchen without one of these? I am blown away by its performance and non stick qualities. I completely underestimated the power and perfection of heat distribution until I used this pan. I've never cooked perfect bacon so quickly and now I completely understand! Would be more than happy to give away all my other frying pans and just have this one to do the job. You cannot go wrong and it's worth every cent. I'll be adding the rest of the range to my WishList ;-) If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Loving this pan.
I can't argue that this is the best pan in the world - but it is not the only pan in the world, non-stick, stainless and cast iron all have a place in the kitchen. Do your research and know the limits of each.

I bought this pan in the hopes of finally finding a nonstick pan that would last more than a few months. I bought special silicone utensils and left instructions of no scourers and it got a special place to live so nothing would accidentally scrape the Precious. After 3 months — food started sticking and the pan was scratched — I went on a witch hunt! My Precious! Who has done this??
I returned it to Yuppiechef who returned it to the factory who returned it with a note saying “sorry — your own fault — you shouldn’t have heated it so high and used olive oil. Nothing we can do — best of luck.“ I was shocked! Who uses olive oil to cook?
There was no warning on the pan about either of these things anyway. Not only was the product rubbish, but the customer service was also terrible from both AMT and Yuppiechef.
I subsequently abandoned the pan at the store.
My R200 crepe pan is actually a marvel. I will use that until it, or I, die. Read more

'World's best pan', definitely not.
Within a year the non-stick coating came off.
Definitely NOT worth the price.
Would recommend buying a cheaper non-stick pan because they all give up after a year anyway.

I first saw this pan at the Jhb Good food and wine show. Then it was on sale here at YC and I took a chance and ordered it. I have been disappointed by so many pans before but this one has restored my faith again. What a wonderful piece of cookware! So heavy yet I can flip a pancake (using both hands). Bacon crisps beautifully and eggs slide right off onto a plate. Retains heat perfectly, no hot spots. Goes perfectly with the lid, sold separately. I'm in love with this pan and lid. Frying eggs with just a bit of oil and the lid on top with steam is a breeze and two eggs come out even - which not all pans do. It's a great medium size and the tall edges make it a very versatile pan to use.

Love the pan. Hate the name!!!
This is the best pan I have ever owned. Especially after being let down by other, "famous name" brands.
I really coddle my cookware and hand wash gently and so far am really impressed and love using it. Food slides around the pan and really does not stick. Cleaning is so easy. It is cheaper than the other pan I own and I can really say, after advice from Yuppiechef, I am thrilled to be an owner of this pan. Saving up for a second smaller one. Read more

I am pleased to say that I am very, very, happy with my pan, it cooks easy, heat distribution is good and it washes clean so very easy. This is the first pan I've purchased for myself, all the others have been gifts. Without a doubt this was the best investment I've ever made.

I guess a bunch of German chef's know what is best when it comes to pans. This is an awesome pan. So glad I decided to take their word on this one. Everything is cooked perfectly and I can almost just use a paper towel to wipe the pan clean Nothing sticks to it - literally nothing. I love it! Maybe I should get a smaller one too...?

Wow! Just WOW!

This pan has been the best purchase we have made the whole year! After loads of research this pan came out tops and has been nothing but a delight to use. SUPER easy to clean (you can literally just wipe it with kitchen towel!) and unbelievably non-stick.
We made pancakes over the weekend and I have never seen such an evenly browned pancake in my life.

This is a fab pan - for those of you considering the toughened non-stick pans, I would go with this rather. I have used both brands and the other pans had the non-stick coating coming off where the glass lid touches the pan and also not as easy to wash clean as these. These are really great pans. I have 3 in my collection now.

I bought the 24cm pan a few months ago and recently purchased the 28cm pan, as well as the deep frying pan. These are great, truly non-stick frying pans. Easy to clean and they are sturdy but not heavy like cast iron pans. I highly recommend them... They are worth their price tag.

I have a lot of pots/pans I use including Le Creuset and AMC, but none match this pan for its non-stick qualities. The pan is well made and robust, and NOTHING sticks to it including sugar based recipes and it is also an absolute breeze to wash. I was lucky buying mine on promotion with a free lid, and would recommend buying the lid for added versatility.

I have been searching for a non-stick pan for ages and ended up buying many duds. I am so happy that I have now found the ONE. Being on a low fat diet makes it so much simpler now as I do not have to use any fats to fry, as using a cooking spray is more than sufficient and I can fry fish without it sticking to the pan.

This pan is fantastic! I hate washing dishes, and only buy dishwasher-proof ware. But in the 2 months that I have had this pan I have used it almost daily and wash it by hand every time because it cleans so easily. The non-slip coating is far better than any I've come across before, and the heat distribution is very even.

I bought myself the rather gigantic 24cm pan. Frying a single egg or two makes the pan seem rather large, but doing a stir-fry for four to six people puts the pan into proportion. I do wish I had a lid for this pan: that would increase it's versatility. I haven't tried putting the pan in the oven because my oven is too small (my tiny oven doesn't conveniently accommodate this pan), but I can see that the pan is designed to go into the oven without hiccups. After about four months of use I see no change in the non-stick-ness of the pan (still perfectly non-stick). It is also a very solid pan and I do not anticipate any warping to develop. Read more

The World's Best Pan Indeed

This pan absolutely lives up to its 'The World's Best Pan' reputation - we even have it in two different sizes. It heats up quickly, has a solid & sturdy base, retains heat well and is easy to clean. It's also going to last you for years & years. I'm not sure how we managed to cook anything before we had this pan? Buy it, you won't regret it!

I didn't actually need a new pan but after all the wonderful reviews, I decided I would take the plunge despite the price. My current pan is a non-stick but at times needs some oil. This one does not. Everything literally slides off. Very happy with this purchase!

I had heard a lot about "the best pan in the world" and had thought "yeah right!".
I eventually bought it and I love it. It's my go-to pan every time.
It's truly non-stick and you literally can wipe it out with a paper towel.
The heat distributes evenly in the pan so that food on the edge cooks as evenly as in the middle.
I can really recommend it.

As soon as I got it, I tried an egg in it without any oil or butter, just to see. So it turns out you still need a bit of fat. The egg stuck, so I had to scramble it.. but the difference with this pan is that the burnt egg came off very easily with a bit of water and sunlight.
I've used it a lot since then, with a tiny spray of oil, and it works incredibly well. The 32 cm is BIG. Probably bigger than you need, but it's awesome! Read more

We bought this in December 2019 and it works like a charm. Nothing sticks to it. Even when we make boerewors in it, it is the easiest thing to clean.
And it's dishwasher safe. But first give it a quick wash in the sink. It is so non-stick that the dishwasher just moves the little bits of oil around.

This is a great pan. So far we’ve cooked fried and scrambled eggs, fried chicken, sausage, grilled cheese sandwiches... You name it, we’ve cooked it. It heats up really quickly and retains heat for a long time. Also great to clean. Just wipe with a paper towel and rinse in dishwater. Note: don’t use a regular spatula when cooking, the surface is very sensitive. I used a soft silicone one. I’m truly impressed with this pan and will spend a many a cooking hours with it. This is by far the best pan one can own. I have the smaller one and it proved itself to both my husband and myself, so much so, that I now own the larger one of 26cm. What a pleasure it is to use. This is the second pan I have bought so just need to warn you that when you buy something precious you need to ensure that you treat it as precious. My previous pan was ruined by allowing other people to cook on very high heat and to use tough cleaning. This pan needs TLC.

We already have the bigger frying pan and are extremely happy with it. So, although a bit expensive, we bought the smaller one as well and it definitely didn't disappoint us. Thick bottom so sits perfectly on the stove plate, distributes heat evenly, easy to clean and most of all, made in Germany.

I have bought this pan in different sizes as I was so impressed with it initially, however after 4-5 years of regular use the non-stick function is no longer working on them.

All my Gastroguss pans used to work like a dream, but now they are driving me up the walls. I keep on going back to a much cheaper Tefal pan just to avoid the frustration of using these. Granted, after some research it seems this is a standard issue with non-stick - it unavoidably breaks down after a few years no matter the brand or quality of the pan.

So, if five years is long enough for you, then these are a great buy. I however hoped they would last much longer, but unfortunately I can no longer use them without everything sticking to them and there is no option to renew the non-stick coating. Just something to keep in mind when considering purchasing these. Read more

This is most certainly the best saucepan I have ever had the pleasure of cooking with. If you're cooking on gas, this is perfect for large breakfasts, stir-fries, steaks, etc. It's also so easy to clean.
