Waffles are incredible - fluffs of delight covered in a sweet topping of your choosing. But the traditional waffle iron appliance takes up valuable kitchen space - enter the space saving stovetop waffle iron.
Featuring removable handles for compact storage, this waffle iron is suitable for use with conventional, gas, and glass hobs, though not with induction stoves. Simply pour or spoon batter into the iron, close and flip to spread the batter inside the iron, and cook on the stovetop.

Very happy with product
I have been very pleasantly surprised with the stove top waffle maker. I went for this version as I was reluctant to buy another electricity dependent appliance. Best waffles!
I love my new stove top waffle maker! I use it on a gas stove and the end result is just the best. At R769 it is pricey but I am so happy I bought this product... Easy to clean and store, no hassles with electrical cords. I was surprised that the manufacturer did not include more info e.g. how to use and even recipes. Hmmm, it's ok
So to start, this makes good waffles, no doubt. BUT... I used this waffle iron once before the hinges broke off. Its made of some sort of alloy so it not really strong, so when it gets heated, it gets brittle. I made 2 waffles then closed the waffle on a 3rd when the little hinges broke off. Maybe I wasn't careful enough? I don't know, I didn't force anything, maybe I had it too hot. Its just s Read more

Feedback 10years later
I am about to purchase this waffle iron again 10 years after my first review. The hinge broke last week when my husband decided to clean it — mixed feelings there. But, it has stood our family very well since my review in June 2015. Definitely not buying a different option.

Honestly shocked how well it works!
I'm amazed how good this thing is. I thought I'd be making a compromise getting a stove top one instead of a 'proper' one, but honestly, I don't see how an electric one could make better waffles. I was concerned that using a gas hob would result in a hot spot on the maker, but it distributes the heat perfectly.
