Simple, small, effective
This Cake Tester is so simple, small and effective. You could just use a knife or a toothpick to achieve the same results, but the Cake Tester allows you to test any depth of cake without getting your fingers gooey and, because its thin, it doesn't leave wide holes all over your cake!

KitchenCraft stainless steel cake tester.
I cannot bake without this tool. Otherwise, I poke holes in my baking. This is just the correct size and a very handy tool.

Get it!
You always need a cake tester! No matter what people tell you, skewers and toothpicks just aren't the same. This cake tester is very strong so it will last.

Does a great job!
This product delivers just as described. While you could always use a knife, this cake tester leaves a smaller whole, which looks neater. I also use it for testing if potatoes are cooked through.
