Solid, good quality
It is hard to find a large enough pestle & mortar to make the pastes etc. I need to make without everything getting too messy. Of what I researched, this was by far the best. A decent size and very solid. Very happy so far.

This is not for sissies!
I love this product - it's heavy enough to stay firm on the counter while I bash away at spices / herbs / nuts / seeds / anything which needs to be ground up. It's a real toughie - can't imagine that I could ever destroy it without a gun.

Brilliant kitchen companion
I made a beautiful basil pesto with this pestle and mortar shortly after I bought it. It worked like a dream and was more fun than using a food processor! Although, it's sturdier than I expected, it looks great on my countertop and makes me feel like a proper cook.

Great!!
I used my granite pestle and mortar for the first time last night, bashing away at a variety of spices! I was making a lamb curry. I can see myself using it very often!

Solid and beautiful
I got this as a Valentines gift, and used it to make an excellent wasabi and rainbow pepper coating for a seared tuna steak. What a pleasure to work with! It's properly heavy and doesn't shift during grinding. It just looks great, and will probably outlast all my other kitchen tools!
