Care instructions
- A first wash is recommended before the first use
- Wash the Pestle and Mortar in warm water, using a sponge and dishwashing liquid. Rinse thoroughly in warm water to remove soap residue and dry thoroughly to prevent water stains from forming on the granite
- Hand wash with warm water

Adjusting to non electric gadgets.
I want to stop relying on electric appliances and thought a large mortar and pestle would be a good start. The description said it takes 1litre but it only takes 800ml which was a bit disappointing. It's very heavy and quite rough, I wet it to make it feel more comfortable to handle. It has an earthy smell which I don't particularly like but at least it's a natural (not chemical) smell. Good value.
Was on the hunt for the biggest pestle and mortar I could find to prevent overflow when making large amounts of pesto etc. This is a great size and good value for money. Heavy and well crafted.

Quality mortar.
Honestly, it is bigger than I was expecting but I love it! The quality is fantastic and the overall packaging of the delivery was so lovely - I really felt like I was unwrapping a present.

Amazing!
I always wanted a mocaljete and now that I have one I cannot stop talking about it. It's the best tool in the kitchen to make the most delicious sauces, salsas etc. It's very different from a using a food processor, no over aeration at all which makes the taste of your food so much better! I will give this a score of 6/5 if I could.
