Very good quality vanilla
Excellent pure and rather sweet vanilla bouquet and strong flavour. I used it in a creme caramel and will most likely continue to use this particular product. Quite adequate to completely replace the actual vanilla pods and no messy seeds and bits to strain out.

The Real Thing
Well, you can be a gourmet chef and use a vanilla pod, scrape out the seeds and strain your mix afterwards. The pods can even be found at the supermarket these days, together with vanilla flavoured (pse note) essence by the dozen.
Or you can use this one, which is not so easily found, and with a kind of flick of the wrist be done with it.

Wow!
I love the subtlety of the extract compared to the essence. In fact, it really can't be compared. I used it to make chantilly cream. It's really lovely and can't wait to try it in my baking.
