Vacuum sealing your food naturally preserves flavour and appearance by removing the oxygen from the food container. With the MagicVac Universal vacuum lids, you can safely store your food in its original glass jar or tin for later use. Fitted with the MagicVac patented vacuum valve, the lids work seamlessly with your MagicVac vacuum sealer.

Far better than the Foodsaver Jar sealers
Due to differences with Foodsaver vacuum hoses these lids work best with MagicVac machines (but can work if you insert firmly enough). If you have the MagicVac machines this works really well of course. I own both large and small lids. The small lids fit the Mason (Consol) jars all sizes. The large size fits jars up to 12cm wide. The jury is still out.
Once too often the vacuum has been lost when opening the container, or my own glass jar using the universal lid. Hopefully, this was a temporary glitch.
