Alcohol substitute needed for spiced chocolate cake
Hi there, I'm loving the spiced chocolate cake recipe featured in the Yuppiechef newsletter, however the recipe contains alcohol. Does anyone have a non-alcoholic substitute for the beer in the cake?

Hi Nasreen,
You can definitely leave out the orange liqueur from the ganache with no problems and then instead of the Guinness, how about trying this chocolate cake recipe (perhaps double the batch): http://www.yuppiechef.com/spatula/mums-recipe-for-chocolate-cake/
Sure you can add the orange zest to that and the mixed spice if you'd like. We've had some great reviews for that cake too.
