Any advice on an easy way to remove a cooked pastry from it's tin? Especially if it does not have a pop out bottom?

Hi Kirsty

Oh my, that's a tough one! Unless a pastry genius wants to weigh in here, our suggestion would be to spoil yourself with a tin that has a removable base, or to bake it in something that looks pretty enough to present to your friends.

Less frustration all round :)

Hi Kirsty,

Usually, I'd wait for it to cool down and then I'd place a plate over the top of the pan and turn it upside down (gently!!!) Once it's on the plate, you can use the same technique with another plate to turn it right side up.

Don't try and flip the pan if the pastry is still hot as it will break and fall apart.

Hope that helps you :)
